Judy was in a place called the Dollhouse. She was still trying to find a way out of Spooky's Mansion. She had kept a hold of the axe she had found earlier and used it when she encountered a monster. Recently, she had discovered how Spooky, a young ghost girl, died. On Halloween, she wanted to scare someone, but her costume ended up being more cute than scary. In an attempt to scare someone, she used firecrackers. Unfortunately, her victim suffered from PTSD and shot and killed her without meaning to. The images kept repeating in Judy's head. She finds a doll and instinctively picks it up and holds it, her axe holstered so she could do so. She wonders around a few minutes before she sees a young man with black hair in one of the rooms, trying to stem the bleeding from a wound on his arm. She instinctively goes over to help, tearing the hem of her dress and using it to wrap his injury.
Judy: Stay still so I can get this wrapped up properly.
He flinches as she finishes and she gives him an apologetic look.
Judy: I'm so sorry, I'm trying to be as careful as I can.
Joe: *giving her a reassuring smile* I know, it's ok. My name's Joe Yabuki.
Judy: I'm Judy. We should stick together.
After Joe's regained enough strength to move on, while they rested, Judy had explained the situation to him, they leave the room, now Joe has the axe while Judy's holding the doll. When a Subject attacks them, Joe instinctively gets in front of her to protect her. At one point, they came across a room with a clown in a cage. There was also a little girl with black hair and geta sandals, staring fearfully at the clown. Judy reacts on instinct and goes to comfort her.
Joe: Sachi!? Are you alright?
Sachi: *not taking her eyes off the clown* I've been too afraid of the clown to take my eyes off him.
Joe: *finally seeing the clown* What the hell is that!?
Without taking her eyes off the clown, Sachi takes off one of her sandals and smacks Joe with it, being careful not to hit his injury, then puts it back on.
Joe: *rubbing his arm* Right, you don't like it when I sware, sorry.
Judy: *giggles a little* I take it she does that often?
Joe: Everytime I curse. If I'm too far away, she'll throw it.
After checking the room and not finding anything, the three leave the room, Sachi's now holding the doll. With her hands free, Judy uses her powers to make a spear of ice. She welds it expertly, not only is the icy spear good for close combat, she can blast enemies from a distance. The two teens are instinctively protective of Sachi. Judy's reactions to Sachi in danger is, what Joe could only discribe as, Mama Bear fury. They find a pentagram in a room close to the end. They see that some candles are missing, since they saw a portal and put the pieces together and realize that they need to find them to close the portal. They find all of them and finish the circle. They found a room with an odd machine and a body. Spooky shows up, but something's wrong with her, she seems sad.
Spooky: *looking upset* Oh, hey... I don't like it here. You should probably just leave. There's nothing for you here. Just leave.
They find a note beside the body, indicating that he was once Spooky's father. They give the doll to the machine and enter a nightmare. They're in a red room with a rifle leaning against the wall. Joe and Judy exchange looks.
Judy: I'm not touching that, I hate guns.
Joe hands her the axe and picks up the rife, he doesn't really feel good about it, something feels off.
Joe: This doesn't feel right...
As they venture through the nightmare, they encounter these demons that Joe has to shoot. At the end, the rifle goes off without Joe's finger even on the trigger. The last demon turns into Spooky when she was alive and, judging by the costume, it was on that fateful Halloween night. They watch as past Spooky stands there for a moment before blood starts to bloom from her stomach and she collapses, dead. Then the person sets the rifle by a homeless person sleeping on a bench, Joe has been stock still since the gun went off on it's own. When they came out of the nightmare, they put the pieces together. That nightmare was from her father, he was the person with PTSD who Spooky set off by mistake, he shot her when he was suffering a bout of PTSD when she used the firecrackers. They quickly make it to the train to the surface as the portal detonates. They make it to the surface as it blows. They watch the souls that were trapped in the mansion get set free. Judy sets her head exhaustedly on Joe's shoulder.
Judy: *sigh* Finally, it's over.
Joe: *putting his arm around her* I hope Spooky's with her parents.
After they rest, Joe picks up a very sleepy Sachi and the teens make their way home.
