DISPLACEMENT

OBSESSION

SOMETIMES things are to hard to torn apart especially if it's destined for each other.

"Why are you looking for her?" One of my friends ask. "Nanahimik na siya Xerxes. Let her be."

Napatiim bagang lang ako at sumimsim sa kopita ko. Maybe I want to give myself a little bit of relief. I hurt her back then. I wanna know if she's alright and happy.

"Maybe he wants to check if she moved forward already. I mean you broke her heart into pieces?" Pang-iintriga naman ni Jude.

"Noo! Maybe he finally made up his mind. Inlove talaga siya doon." Pang-aalaska naman ng isa pa. Umiling iling naman ako. People think men are quite and mysterious. The truth is mas malala pa sila sa mga babae kung magchismisan. Daig pa ang mga kutob at radar ng mga babae kung makaradam.

I am the youngest of the family but unlike them I am the dumbest. I mean I don't excel at anything that's favorable and what my father's likings. I messed up everything until one day I met her and I see her as the key to get my father's heart at last. I used her to messed up my father's opponent in politics. Then, boom left her hanging and broken just like her dad. But as time goes by I realized the feeling is true. I love her but she's gone.

HALOS isang buwan ng sinusundan ni Knight si Belle from her apartment in Pampanga to the Academy where she works. He's quite relieved to see na nasa maayos na kalagayan ang babaeng minamahal. "She deserves the peace and happy happy life." He said to himself.

Napangiti nalamang siya ng mapakla kapag maalala niya kung gaano niya ito nasaktan. Sa totoo lang hindi naman talaga ito kasali sa plano niya pero nadamay lang. Clarita, the sister of his beloved Ysabelle, ang talagang gagamitin niya para mapalapit sa mga Buenaventura. Ang padre pamilya ng mga ito na si Armando Buenaventra ay isang kilalang politiko sa probinsya ng Pampanga at ang kanyang ama naman ay isang kilalang negosyante sa probinsya ding iyon. And my dad knows na wala siyang laban if kakalabanin niya ito sa election because people loves Mr. Buenaventura, a loving husband and father, matulungin at walang tinatagong baho.

Doon na nabuo ang plano ng kanyang ama and he willingly tell him na tutulong siya. Maybe it's my most awaited time to finally have his attention, for him to see me like my other siblings.

At doon na pumasok si Clarita, ang pangalawang anak ni Armando. Nagkakilala kami sa isang club or should I say plinano kong makita siya sa club. I thought mahihirapan ako na lapitan siya but to my suprise siya ang unang lumapit at nagpakilala sa akin. Napakadali lang ng lahat after ng ilang pagkikita at pagkain sa labas we are official.

"What's the matter, honey?" I ask as I hug her.

"Nuh, just my half-sister." She grimace.

"You have a half-sister?" Pag-uusyoso ko.

"Yeah. You know Belle, right? The girl who my father always brags to his friends and colleagues." I look at her and smile with triumph. Finally, meron na rin akong nalamang mapakinabangan ni Dad.

"She's your sister I thought she is just an orphan na scholar ng Daddy mo?" He shook her head.

"She is my Dad's daughter from someone we don't know. All I know is her mother left her to Dad to start a new life without her. She's the reason why my Mom have been miserable for years now. I hate her." Pagkukwento nito.

I HAD a chance to meet and be with Belle, the hidden gem of Mr. Buenaventra. She's beautiful, smart and obedient. Her sisters envy her because their father loves her so much but despite of that her eye are gloomy. I try my best to stay away with her but there is something about her na hindi ko kayang ipagsawalang bahala.

"Hi!" I smile and go near her.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" She then ask. I can see na kanina pa siya naghihintay.

"Wala pa yung sundo mo?" Pagtatanong ko at umupo sa tabi niya. She is in her school uniform sa may waiting shed malapit sa school nila.

"Matatagalan daw sila kase hindi pa tapos yung meeting nila Daddy" Napatango naman ako.

"Gusto mo ihatid nalang kita? I am going to your house rin naman." Pangungumbinsi ko.

"Wag na baka ano pang sabihin nila." Mahinang usal nito.

"Bakit, ano bang sasabihin nila?" I curiously ask.

Hindi siya sumagot at yumuko lang. Nagkibit balikat nalang ako at prenteng umupo sa tabi niya hanggang umulan.

"O umuulan na. Ihatid na kita baka mabasa ka pa at magkasakit." Alanganin naman niya akong tinignan at tumipa sa cellphone.

"Osige. Para diretso na rin sa mansyon sina Daddy. Hassle pa kung pupunta sila dito." At last pumayag na rin. I help her out with her things at sabay na kaming tumakbo sa kotse ko.

And that's the start of my so called  obsession.
