3 days later, I became busy. For the past three days, I finished most of my tasks beforehand as I would later take over Cameron's position, temporarily. So that means I'm going to be the temporary CEO of his company. It wasn't easy to be a CEO of two companies at once but I managed. 

I had my COO with me to update me about my company while I'm away. I've got three other chief officers in their own field who would update me from time to time so I was not that worried. Let's not hope for a disaster to strike. I don't really need one right now. 

As for Cameron, he stepped down as he went back as an engineer again. Kanina lang ay tinawagan niya ako na hawak niya ang isang proyekto sa Southeastern Mossland kasama ang dalawa pang engineer. Kinamusta ko nalang siya pagka't may pagpupulong pang mangyayari mamayang alas onse sa umaga. 

Pagkatapos ng pagpupulong ay dumeretso ako sa labis-labis na cafeteria nila. Napamangha ako sa laki at ganda ng gusali. Pagpasok ko palang, nasa harap ko ang napakaraming tao. Sa kaliwa ay ang floor-to-ceiling windows na parang cat tree pero 10x at ang napakaraming stante naman ay nasa kanan kung saan dinidisplay nila ang mga pagkain na konektado sa kusina. They have matte black and egyptian blue pendant lamps too. 

Ang dami namang nakikichismis tungkol sa'kin sa unang araw ko bilang CEO. Tumawa nalang ako at binuksan ang cellphone. Nakigroup-call si Zenaida kaya naman tinanggap ko. Kayla went here earlier to drop my lunch and instead of being thankful, I got pissed. The ride from the hospital to here was about 8 hours long. I scolded her thinking that she came from the hospital but then she told me na galing siya sa bahay niya so it took 4 hours lang. Nakailang stops din daw siya dahil nagutom din siya at may mga ginawang errands para sa nanay niya. 

I felt guilty dahil doon. Kahit 4 hours lang, mahirap pa rin 'yon. Its hard to endure driving for 4 hours. It was good that she has stops or else I would've punished myself for putting her on that situation. 

Nagsitinginan din ang mga tao sa lunch ko dahil sosyal daw. Blueberry cheesecake, affogato and 6 pieces of small ube filled munchkins and a bottle of Moscato d'Asti with a riesling glass. Hindi ko kasalanan na bumabawi ang asawa ko. Kung tutuusin nga, mas gusto ko pang bulad at bagoong tapos saging. Presyong probinsya pa. 

"Kanina kapa tahimik ah, buntis ka no?" pang-aasar ni Zenaida sa'kin. Inismiran ko siya bago ako lumingon-lingon. 

"Uy bro, buntis daw oh," habol pa ni Jackson. Ano namang trip ng laking 'to?

"Hindi nga. Ano kaba. Negative bro," simpleng sagot ko at sinubuan ang sarili. 

"You took a test?" mabilis siyang nagtanong sa'kin nang marinig ang sagot ko. 

I simply nodded but when I saw all of their resting faces, I quickly explained. " I took a test because starting late May, sumasakit ang ulo ko, nahihilo ako, sumisikit ang dibdib ko at minsan gusto kong sumuka but then before my birthday it suddenly stopped. So, for my own curiousity and safety, I took a test—let me correct that, I took 5 tests and all came out negative," it took me one gulp for me to finish my first glass when I felt them glare at me. 

"Eh hindi nga ako buntis eh! Ang kulit kulit," bulong ko pa sa huli. Tinawanan lang nila ako at kumain lang din naman ako.
