"Kenneth, let's talk," Alexa strictly told me while getting inside the coffee shop near the hospital. I was unsure of what to do. All I could think was to follow my wife and ask for her forgiveness. All I want to do is to explain everything...but I couldn't. Know's not the time. 

"What the hell were you thinking? Don't cut me off. There was pain in her voice, Kenneth. She must've felt anguish, and you just had to fvking raise your voice? Before you decided to betray your wife—

"I could never betray her!"

"Oh please, would you stop lying to yourself. I said, do not cut me off! Did you ever think about your vows before you betrayed her? Have you forgotten your promises to her?" I honestly thought about it. Oh Alexa, if only you knew. If only you knew how many times I've played those memories in my mind. 

"Of course I did, if I wouldn't, then what kind of husband would I become if I didn't? I always thought that we would be living in peace with our kids, enjoying our lives as a family, but Nicole had to ruin it for some reasons," 

"Tell me," she initiated which made me doubt. I could not guess her motive. She was giving me the clown smile. It's scaring me off. 

"Nicole...she's sick. Her family made her sick. They kicked her out because of me. Yung problema namin na akala ay patay na, nabuhay ulit. Gusto nilang kunin si Logan para ipahamak. Nicole's just a pawn in their game, so why would I let them treat my son like one?" ako nga sinubukan nilang utuhin, paano pa kaya ang anak ko eh manang-mana iyon sa'kin. Sana lang ay tinuruan siya ni Kana kung paano hindi ma-uto sa iba. 

"Her own reason why she still clings is purely dense? I don't know how to call it. She seemed to have trouble of letting go of our memories. Parang ganoon na nga. Mukhang ayaw niyang mawala ako pag binitawan niya ako, pero ang hindi niya alam ay matagal na niya akong binitawan nang umalis siya sa tabi ko,"

Napabuntong hininga na naman ako ulit at pilit na umupo ng maayos ngunit nararamdaman ko na pagod ang aking mga balikat kaya sumandal nalang ako sa upuan. "Yun lang talaga. Sinusubukan kong tulungan siyang maka move-on pero ayaw pa rin eh. Siya ang inuuna ko para matapos na ang lahat ng ito hindi dahil mahal ko pa rin siya. Mas tutuusin ko pang kumain ng isang kilo ng demonyong sili kaysa balikan siya."

"I understand that one. Are you sure? You might die," inismiran niya ako at tinawanan. 

"Alexa naman eh, seryoso ako." napakamot ako sa ulo at bahagyang nahiya. Siguro nga hindi ko makakayang kumain ng isang kilong demonyong sili.

"I'm also serious. I'm trying to understand Filipino. Alam mo naman ako, medyo slow, hehe. Back to the problem. If you're just helping her then why did you let her live inside your roof? Do you know that what you did was a big slap to your wife? It's like bringing your mistress in your house, sharing the title of your wife. " I never thought of that. I thought she would understand. Magaling kasi siyang mag-unawa. Akala ko hindi iyon magiging problema. Akala ko kasi...

"She knew that you went to her house. Why exactly did you do that?"
