A year had passed and today was my graduation. My mom, Arianna and Andres were there to congratulate me but my mom had an emergency meeting kaya maaga siyang umuwi. Siguro half sa graduation ceremony.

She took them with her kaya naman ako nalang mag-isa.

The most heartbreaking one was Kenneth didn't even show up. I walked on the stage alone to receive my diploma and my medals.

As for me, it was embarassing kasi my mom wasn't there. My siblings weren't there. My only friends weren't there. My boyfriend wasn't there. My teachers and blockmates tried to hype me up pero masama parin ang loob ko.

"Kana! Kana! Kana!" sigaw ng mga kablockmates ko. I was just sitting on my chair, not wanting to move.

I received a lot of buoquets pero hindi naman galing sa mga friends ko. Pumapatak parin ang mga luha ko. Sabi niya kasi na pupunta siya dito. Kahit ipadala niya lang ang buoquets, hindi nagawa.

This was the first time that he broke his promise to me. He pinky swear to me. Taena. They looked at me with sad eyes. "Okay lang 'yan,"

Every time I look up at them, I could see their parents from afar, watching them with so much happiness in their eyes. I could see their siblings, friends, hugging and congratulating them. Sad to say, I didn't experience that.

Nanatili ako sa stadium, still hoping na pupunta sila rito. Suddenly, nag ring ang phone ko. It was kuya Eduardo.

"Atalia," he whispered with a cracked voice.

"You must hate me now. I don't want to explain anymore," tumango ako kahit hindi naman mapansin niya. I don't accept any explanations kasi gabi na eh. Hanggang ngayon wala parin.

"I didn't catch my flight," sabi niya. He kept saying sorry pero ngumiti nalang ako, kahit hindi niya nakikita. It wasn't a pure and joyful smile. Rather, it was a forced and pitiful smile.
