"I'm going somewhere." tumayo ako pero hinawakan ako ni Grace sa braso.
"Saan? Lasing ka na. Nakailang bote ka na."
"I'm fine. Hindi ako lasing!" inalis ko ang kamay niya. Muntik na akong matumba ng dumaan ako sa harap ni Janine mabuti nalang at nakahawak ako sa mesa.
"Lasing ka na! Matulog ka na muna!" they tried to pull my hands.
"I'm okay! Kaya ko!" I gave them a thumbs up. Binuksan ko ang pinto at lumabas na.
"Yung susi!" naglakad ulit ako pabalik at binuksan ang pinto ng unit ni Grace.
The both looked at me.
"I forgot!" kinuha ko yung susi sa couch at lumabas na.
Ilang beses akong nag doorbell bago may nag bukas ng gate.
"Ma'am Winter!" yung katulog nina Mommy. Ngumisi ako at pumasok sa loob.
"Winter! You're here!" lumapit sakin si Mommy.
"Are you drunk?" agad akong umiling.
"Hindi!" tanggi ko. Tumanggo naman siya.
"Asan yung malandi mong anak?" nilampasan ko siya at umakyat sa hagdan.
"Winter!" sumunod siya sakin.
"What's wrong with you?" hinila niya ako at hinarap sa kaniya.
"Nothing is wrong with me Mom! I'm just... I just want to talk to your daughter." I smiled at her.
"Mom." hinawakan ko siya sa pisngi.
"I can't believe it Mom." I'm smiling ear to ear.
"What are you talking about?" he removed my hands from her cheek.
"Your daughter is a snake! Mom! Cindy is a snake! Can you believe it?!" hinampas ko siya sa braso at tumawa ako.
"You're drunk." seryosong sabi niya. I stopped laughing.
"Hindi ka naniniwala?" seryosong tanong ko.
"Mom!" lumabas si Cindy sa kaniyang kwarto at lumapit samin. She gave me a look.
"The snake! She's here!" lumapit ako sa kaniya. She looked scared. Hinawakan niya si Mommy sa braso.
"Mom, you should sleep." tinulak niya si Mommy papasok sa kwarto.
"Mom! Sleep later! May sasabihin pa ako!" I tried to grab her pero huli na ang lahat. Pumasok na siya sa kwarto.
"Winter. What are doing?!" she hissed.
"I'm trying to tell my Mom that you are a snake!" tunuro-turo ko siya.
"Let's talk out side." hinila niya ako. I just let her. Pumasok kami sa kotse ko.
"You're drunk." she said.
"No I'm not." I said in a serious tone. Ngayong kaharap ko na siya, lahat ng ginawa nila ni Kienn ay bumalik sa alaala ko.
"You really are a snake." I faced her.
"I guess, I am." she admitted. I smirk.
"Did you take advantage of Kienn? When he was drunk?" I asked. Yumuko siya.
"Yes." kumuyom ang kamao ko.
"Did you... regret it?"
"No." deretsong sagot niya.
"Did you....like it?"
"Yes." I slapped her. Nagulo ang buhok niya dahil sa lakas ng sampal ko.
"It hurts doesn't it?" hindi siya umimik. I slapped her again. She's crying. I looked away. How could she cry in front of me?
