James has explained the situation to the group of patients over four times already, and they still weren't being cooperative.
James was beginning to wonder if they were really his best hope in the current scenario."So let me get this straight; you, the person that has been continuously watching us get tortured over the past few months, now wants us to team up with you", Ernest said. "Lance, did you honestly bring him to us for real or as a joke".
The entire group looked at Lance with skeptical expressions. Only Ronald and Ronnie seemed to understand his thought process at the moment. Emerald tried to understand, but even she was apprehensive.
"I don't know what to tell you, man", Lance admitted. "I was honestly nervous about meeting with him as-well, but I couldn't let the opportunity pass. This is the first chance we really have at obtaining our freedom again."
"But this is insane!", Ernest exclaimed.
"I can understand his reasoning for bringing him here", Ronnie said. "He's the only possible lead we could have on finding the people who abducted us. He may be the only lead we may ever get. Despite what went down we have to put aside our differences to get the job done".
Sanai stepped in and said, "I agree with Ronnie; we can't run forever. The best way to deal with this is to handle it head on before things get any worse."
Her agreement with Ronnie stunned everyone, even herself. But it was the truth, she wanted to get back to living her life and be free from the fear of always looking over her shoulder.
"I see some of you have sense here", James said.
"Don't push it; we haven't fully decided yet", Ronald told the man.
Everyone looked at each other; Lance and Ronald stared at each other intently as if they were already in agreement.
"I'm willing to take a chance", Ronald announced.
"I am too, but only if all of you guys are with us", Lance said.
The group got extremely quiet; they all shared the same amount of nervousness. An unspoken fear that they had been within them since they first escaped.
Irvin stepped up and said, "I'll fight with you, I'm probably dead if I just wait around to catch a bullet".
Ahmir stepped up as-well and said, "I'm with you too man, I can't just sit around and let y'all fight alone".
"You already know where I stand", Ronnie said.
"Same", said Sanai.
"You know I'll follow you into any battle, Lance", Emerald said, in a cheerful voice.
All that was left was Ernest; everyone looked at him collectively.
Ernest let out a loud groan of annoyance and said, "Fine, but if we die I will personally kick y'all asses down to hell".
Emerald laughed at the statement, as they all stood in agreement.
Everyone then looked at James."Okay, where's they fight and when?", Ronald demanded to know.
James's expression was stern and his words were clear, "Tomorrow night at Silicon Valley, that's where she'll be and that's where you'll regain your freedom."
