Greg was sitting on top of a hill with all of his other friends. From the distance they could see the flames emerging from the building they just finished battling in.
Most of their clothes were tattered, and they were covered in sweat and grime.
Other than that, they were fine.
Lance and Emerald were holding each other, while everyone else was lying down in the grass.
Drakon was resting on the ground with his new pet dog, while Ernest was trying to get Drakon to say his name properly.

"Okay one more time; Ernest", Ernest said to Drakon.

"Ernst", Drakon said to him.

"No, no, no, no, no- Er-nest. Two syllables okay", Ernest clarified to the dragon.

"Ernst", Drakon repeated.

"GOTDAMNIT", Ernest cried out.

"I think Ernst is a cool name, bro", Lance added.

"Yeah, it's kind of cute- Ernst", Emerald agreed.

Everyone started laughing, but Ernest's expression showed that he was not amused.

While the group was laughing, James walked up the hill towards the group. He has sweaty and battered, but he seemed to be okay.

"I have a gift for you", he said, as he approached the group.

Irvin sat up towards him and said, "Is it something to eat, because I am starving."

"For real", Ahmir added.

James took a flash-drive out of his pocket, and handed it to Lance. Ronald walked over to his brother to inspect the item.

"This contains five hundred million dollars that I procured from Sari's personal bank account. It's not enough to make up for what you've lost, but it's all that I can offer you", James said.

Lance took the drive from James and said, "Thank-you."

"Generous gift if you ask me", Ronnie said.

James turned to him and said, "It's the least I can do for now."

"Appreciate it", Ronald said to him.

Even though he was responsible for a lot of their suffering, the group was thankful for his gift. Though they all agreed that they'd rather not see him ever again.
James departed and left the group alone with their new fortune.

"Alright, so that's like fifty million a piece, not bad", Ernest declared.

"Yeah but half of your fortune goes to me", Irvin said.

"Wait, what?!", Ernest yelled.

"Remember when we were fighting, you said that you'd pay me any amount I wanted", Irvin stated.

"Okay, but half?!", Ernest cried.

"Did he shake on it?", Ronnie inquired.

"He sure did", Irvin answered.

"Then you have to pay it", Ronnie said.

"Who asked you?!", Ernest yelled at Ronnie.

"It is true, you have to pay that man his money", Lance said.

"Better pay him his money", Ronald added.

As the group continued to argue about the discussion, Greg and Sanai held each other as they stared at the horizon.
The two stared at at each other, then shared a kiss, as they were now free.
