A Lovers Quarrel

Sanai was dazed from Drakon's dramatic entrance, but was overall happy about his arrival.
The debris that fell from the ceiling caused the men in th audience to erupt into a frenzy. At least the ones who weren't already crushed by fallen rocks and pillars.
Sanai saw this and her regard for them was absent. She could care less about a group of people who sought to benefit from someone else's suffering.
Her main attention was focused on Greg; he was still standing, but had the same blank look in his face.
Sanai trued to make her way towards him.

"Activate all Gen-2 units immediately", Sari shouted.

Sanai almost forgot about her, she was ready to turn her into a pile of ash for what she did to Greg.
But an army of robots took her attention.
These robots were different from the ones that they previously faced.
The were much larger and had purple exoskeletons. Sanai was sure these robots had more upgrades than just a new paint job.
She hurriedly tried to make her way towards Greg, but a robot appeared between the two at a blinding speed.

TERMINATING SUBJECT.

The purple machine's optics started to glow bright red, as if it were about to shoot lasers at her.
The robot didn't have a chance to fire though, because a golden blade of energy was launched at the robot, and implanted through the side of its head.
Sanai turned around and saw it was Ronald who launched the blade.

"You go ahead to Greg, we've got your back", Ronald said, as he was still trying to catch his breath.

"Go get him honey", Emerald said, as she summoned  horde of trees from the floor.

Sanai turned around and began to run forward towards Greg.
A few robots attempted to delay her attempts to run towards him, but they were all intercepted by Sanai's friends who were covering her.
Drakon was also defending her from the oncoming assault. Swatting down any attackers with his tail, with the pit bull still on his back.
Sanai wasn't too certain, but she could've swore she heard Drakon say her name.
Sanai was a few feet away from Greg, when suddenly she wasn't a few away, and she wasn't on the stage on all.
She found herself pinned against a wall that was at back of the large room. Greg had his palm against her neck, and looked as if he was going to kill her at any moment.
She assumed that Greg had teleported them there, something that he previously stated would have killed her. She supposed his lack of a conscience at the moment wouldn't deter any actions that could possibly harm her.
Sanai didn't want to have to use it on him, but she had no other choice.
If she were to have any chance of breaking him free of Sari's control, she had to poison him.
She summoned a small, but strongly concentrated amount of poison from his hand.
Greg tightened his grip on her neck, and she was about to pass out.
Before she could totally fade away, his grip around her loosened. She opened her eyes, and saw that he was slowly passing out.
She concentrated more poison into him until he passed out completely. He fell backwards towards the floor.
Sanai rushed to his side and held him in her arms.

"Greg, can you hear me?", she called out to him, but he did not respond.

His eyes were shut, and his pulse was low. Sanai began to panic; she feared that she may have put to much poison in his system.

Tears fell from her eyes as she cradled him in her chest, "Please don't go... we need you with us. I need you here... please don't leave me".

Tears continued to fall as she held him tightly. Her chest felt heavy as she continued to hold his lifeless body in her arms.
Sanai felt truly lost and alone.

"Sanai...", she heard Greg groan.

She looked down, and saw that his eyes were open.

"You're going to squeeze me to death", he groaned.

Despite what he said, Sanai continued to hug him tightly. Tears of despair turned into tears of joy and relief.
She was exhilarated you have him back.

She let go of him and said, "Are you okay?".

Greg began to stand up, and he pulled her up with him, "Yeah, but we've got to help them out."

There friends were further down the room, fending off the robots who were swarming the room.

Greg took Sanai's hand and asked her, "You with me?".

She turned to him and replied, "Always."
