Greg had a headache; not just because he had gotten shot by a high-tech tranquilizer. Not even because hearing a woman's voice made him have a mental break down and pass out.
It was because after all he'd been through over the course of not even few hours, now was the moment he felt like he had lost his mind.
He was standing face to face with a giant dragon that just came out of the floor of a science facility that had been experimenting on him.
The beast was huge; it had a long, black, snake-like body with four legs. It had a two pairs of large wings on its upper and lower back. It's face looked the dragons you would see on a Chinese New Year parade. Except his face had four eyes; one pair green and another pair red.
What really made the dragon look terrifying was its teeth and claws. Both were long and golden; he looked like he could tear through steel with his claws. Judging from the hole he left in the ground, Greg was more than sure he could.
He was in shock, but he decided that moving forward it was just best to keep a calm head.
Right now Emerald had her hand place at the bridge of the dragon's nose. She seemed to be in a trance, and it looked like it was in one as well.

Emerald then removed her hand from its nose and said, "He isn't going to hurt us".

Everyone was silent for a moment, Lance and Ronnie looked skeptical, while Sanai and Greg just looked at each other in confusion.

"Hold on, hold on, hold on", Ernest said, breaking the solve. "How in the hell do you know what it is and isn't going to do".

"He just told me all he wants to do is be free", she answered.

"Oh, so now you can speak to mythical creatures?", he said sarcastically.

"Pretty much", she said with a smile. "While I was here the serum they gave me allowed me to talk to animals".

Lance stepped closer to the dragon and stood by Emerald's side. The dragon seemed non-hostile, and more accepting of people to move closer to it. Lance outstretched his hand and strokes the bridge of the beast's nose. The dragon appeared to enjoy it; he almost seemed like a giant puppy.

"He's friendly", Lance said smiling. "Can you ask him which way is out?".

Emerald looked at the dragon, and started to communicate with it again. Her and the dragon did this for about five minutes before she turned to look at Lance.

"Good news, he said he knows the way out", Emerald said. "Also he'd like for you guys to call him Drakon from now on".

The dragon gave a slight roar, as if it were confirming what she said.

"Drakon, huh?", Ronald said. "I like it; did he come up with it?".

"Nope that was all me", Emerald said in a giddy tone.

"He says the fastest way out of here is upwards, and he can fly most of us out of here", she continued.

"Pause", Ernest said with his hands up. "What do you mean most of us".

Emerald shuffled her feet a bit and said, "He said he can't carry all of us, and that most of us will just have to follow him as he moves along".

"WHAT?!", Ernest exclaimed.

Drakon growled and looked at Emerald as if to tell her something.

Emerald looked at Drakon then looked at Ernest and said, "He says we're on his good side, but if any of you annoy him , he'll eat you".

"Sounds fair", Irvin said in a calm tone.

Drakon roared and laid down flat on his back.

"He says that he'll let me, Lance, and five more of you guys on his back", she explained.
