52. Christmas Decorations

Elizabeth’s POV

We all headed back from the city with all of our Christmas decorations. Now, as I am pulling the items out of our bags in the hallway, by the living area.  I begin to realize that maybe we have gone a bit too overboard.

“Alright, how is this spot for the tree?” Liam asks. I peek my head into the living area seeing the beautiful green tree standing tall in the corner of the room by the large wall of glass.

“It’s perfect” I smile holding a box of small fair lights

“Good, now let’s decorate!” Niall smiles and quickly retrieves the small box out lights out of my hands and walks back over to the tree. I giggle.  Perrie comes walking towards me and picks up the bag with the Christmas tree ornaments.

Well then I guess that leaves me with hanging various colored streamers and other small decorations around the house.  I quickly take the items out of the bags and begin decorating.

I smile at myself as I am close to being done, all I had left to do was to hang a mistletoe in the threshold of the living are and one by the front door. 

“I’ll do it” Zayn smiles at me holding his hand out. I gently place the mistletoe in his hand and walk down the wide hallway opening the front door so I could hang the last mistletoe. I small cool breeze blows through making me shiver. I scowl at myself when I couldn’t reach the top of the door frame.

“Need help?” I hear a small gentle, raspy voice ask before being lifted off my feet. I smile seeing Harry smiling shyly at me. Harry lifts me up higher in his arms and I reach up pinning the mistletoe on the doorframe before being placed back down on the hardwood floor.

“What?” I ask Harry, tilting my head to the side as he is staring at me with a small bright gleam in his light blue green eyes.  Harry shrugs his hands in his pockets and gives me a small tight smile glancing up. I knit my eyebrows together and when I glance up realization hits me.

Well played Styles.

I glance back down and he is blinking innocently at me. “Don’t play the innocent card Styles. It doesn’t suit you.” I tease as he takes a step forward.

“It’s a mistletoe love. You can’t break tradition.” He smiles brightly down at me.

“No, you can’t” I agree and stand on my toes pressing my lips against his. After sharing a few soft gentle kisses I pull away and close the door.  Harry laces his hand with mine and guide us back into the living area. I feel a smile quickly rise up on my lips as I take in the decorations hung all around.

The tree looked so beautiful and glowing with all of the Christmas lights and ornaments making it’s reflection seen against the glass wall. The stoned fireplace has fairly lights hanging from the top, that changed color from red, white and green. The whole house looked amazing, and right now, right here, I couldn’t be any more happier.

“Hey, Ellie so do you want to go to the city?” Eleanor asks sitting on the arm rest of the one sitted couch where Louis was sitting. Eleanor was wearing a beautiful red jumper and black skinny jeans with matching boots holding Louis’ hand in both of hers.

I briefly glance up at Harry then back at her. “Um… well I don’t know…” I trail off and bit on my lip feeling unsure. I do want to go but I also want to be with Harry.  I don’t want to just ditch him.

‘It’s  okay, Ellie” Harry says next to me giving my hand a gentle squeeze. I look up at him and he is smiling me giving me a nod. “You can go. I can just hang here with the lads.”

“Yea, that will give us time for us to wrap our presents for you girls without you guys trying to glance a peek” Zayn smiles removing his eyes away from me and onto Perrie.

“It was one time” Perrie whines and a small blush creeps on her cheeks. “Don’t you remember we talked about this? You agreed to let it go.”

“Yes I did but –“

“Then let it go would ya!” Perrie bursts out flinging her hands in the air. Zayn looks at her with wide eyes for a split second before bursting into a laugh, joining in with everybody else. Zayn placed his arm around her shoulder and kissed her temple.

“Anyways….” Eleanor trailed off, removing my attention away from them. “What do you say, Ellie?”

“Okay” I nod and she quickly stands on her feet.

“Yay! Let’s go!” Eleanor smiled picking up her purse from the couch and head down the hallway, Sophia and Perrie following closely behind.

“Are you sure?” I ask Harry ask I shrug on my coat standing by the door. The girls have already gone out to start the car. Or at least one of the cars…Harry also has a very impressive collection of cars in his garage out in the back.  

“Yes, babe, go have fun” He smiles and leans down kissing my nose.

“Okay” I smile placing my purse on my shoulder and open the door. I walk down the porch steps buttoning up my coat and fix my beanie, it’s way more chillier than it was before.

“Wait, you forgot your scarf” Harry calls out from behind me and I turn reaching the bottom step. Harry smiles down at me and places the scarf around my neck.

“Now you can go” I giggle and kiss his cheek before turning around and quickly walk over to the Black Range Rover and swiftly climb in, away from the chilly breeze.

Hey loves! So did you like the chapter? I have always been a fan of this song and i thought why not? :p lol
