This was risky, way too risky. We took a shot in the dark and got lucky. But, his ass got unlucky. He thought he could just roll about spending insane amounts of money and living all big and flashy on social media. He really got unlucky when he bumped into me.
We snatched buddy up so quick and shipped him all the way to Red Bluff. All unsuspecting to the ladies. They were so caught up in wedding planning and finding hobbies to occupy themselves that whenever we had to take a trip they thought were we following after some papers.
"He's still not talking man. You think I'm dumb? I tried that." I told Ralph as I sat in the chair across from my subject. Despite him bleeding all over the floor and possibly near death he still didn't want to give Boone up.
"He's going to come for me you know. And when he does you'll be sorry." He smirked as blood oozed from his lips.
"Aye, unless you telling me what I want to hear shut yo ass up." I warned him as I knocked his chair over with him tied down to it.
"Nothing?" Drew asked as he stepped into the room. His black latex gloves still covered his hands to avoid the mess we was making.
"But some bullshit," I mumbled as Drew came to sit in a chair beside me.
"We'll take him out back." Drew sighed dramatically and folded his hands together. At that statement, our subject panicked. He started shaking and kicking and shit trying to break free from some unbreakable restraints.
"No! No! Please!"
"Tell us what we want to know!" Drew yelled as he sporadically hemmed our victim up by the shirt.
"I—I can't!"
I was just watching him work knowing he wouldn't get far. Then Drew motioned for me to help get him up and together we lifted him and the chair upright. We struggled but shit we made it. He squirmed still but with the both of us, we had more power than him.
Outside behind the cabin was nothing but trees and large acres of land. If he screamed no one would hear him. Right by the edge of the land was a large fire and tub of something boiling. Fuck does this man Drew got planned?
"Drew—what the fuck is this?"
"He won't tell us what we need to know. Perhaps a hot bath will get him motivated enough."
"No please! Help!" He hollered at the top of his lungs. "You can't do this!"
"Considering that it's happening—I'd say we can," Drew mumbled as he dragged this bitch and his chair near the tub. "Grab his arm. If he makes any sudden movements his face goes straight into the hot pot."
He united him from the chair, he was still, for the most part, except for his lips. Them shits quivered like he had bugs in his pants.
"Please!"
"Ahh come on Samuel of San Francisco 1345 of Alvino Blvd. husband to Amy Muller, father to Tommy and Angela Muller."
This man really was reading this man's life off to him and as he did Samuel cried like a bitch. I would too. That's a tough one. To act so tough but have so much fear of someone hurting your loved ones. I had that fear constantly, but I always remained calm. I'd never let my enemy see me sweat.
"Where is he?" Drew asked again. He grabbed Samuel by the neck and held him over the tub. He thought he could beat us, he tried to break free from our hold by forcing himself up from his knees, he threw his body into me. I stumbled but I pushed him forward and stupidly he tried to use his arm to stop from being pushed back to his knees but his arm went straight into the tub.
The disgruntled screamed that left this man's mouth was something awful. As his arm came out of the tub, it was red and blistered all over instanly.
"See now—Samuel that shit wouldn't have happened if you'd stop trying to act so tough." I chuckled as I grabbed his severely burned arm and pulled it behind his back. The only thing keeping him from the boiling hot water was his chest. He continued to hum and whimper.
"Where is he hiding?"
"He—he was on his way to Cali. Something about the house needed to be dealt with. I don't know where he is now. I swear."
"So he's in Cali," Drew stated rather than asked. "What a stupid man."
"Please—I just wanna get back to my family."
"Not yet Samuel. Tell us more and you're free to go." Drew said.
"Anything—anything." He cried like the little bitch that he is.
I guess that hot water did motivate his ass. I squeezed his arm a little tighter than necessary. I wanted him to squirm and squeal. He was still crying, but that didn't help him. That shit didn't touch my heart.
"Where are the papers?"
"They're in Miami—Caleb—Caleb was instructed to duplicate them and make a fake signature."
"Why?"
"Darius's name is still on them. It named Darius's child as the inheriter. and if there weren't any remaining children then it goes to Ralph."
"So either way it wouldn't go to Boone."
"It was Boone's land first. But he didn't have the money to buy it."
"So it wasn't his mothafucka!" I snapped as I slapped him upside his peanut ass head. He flinched and ducked away but not far enough to touch the tub.
"It was Boone's idea to get the land so they can expand their empire. but at the time he was a little guy. Darius swooped in and bought it before Boone did."
"Why?"
"Because Boone wanted it for criminal purposes, Darius wanted to use it for good. But Boone, he's been a criminal his whole life, it's all he knows. That's where he and Darius split ways. Boone went to Ray's side and turned against Darius."
He really was talking now. He was telling us shit we didn't even ask for. But I wasn't complaining. if his rambling led me closer to the truth of Darius's murder then fine.
I've heard conflicting stories my whole life. I heard Ray pulled the trigger, I heard he got shot in a freak accident. There was talk that he burned in a fire. No one ever gave me the real story. Not even Derek or Eric. They told us that he was gone and that was that.
Drew gave me the signal and we release the hold we had on him. I motioned for him to stand up and he did so, cradling his burned arm.
"All you had to do was talk to us man," I said as I stuck my hand out to shake his. He obliged wearily yet still shook my hand. We turned to walk away but there was an unspoken agreement between my brother and me. His ass was not walking off this land alive. We turned halfway and simultaneously kicked our legs out with enough strength to make a house fall. Once again he yelled out in pure terror.
We watched as his arms flailed wildly and his face went paralyzed with fear. He fell into the tub and splashed water everywhere as his arms and legs swung around wildly. He didn't have the capacity to scream but just enough to throw his body around. What I could see of him—he was boiling alive the second that water touched his skin.
Drew aimed at a large pallet. And knew that he wanted to cap off the tub. At this point, if he didn't die inside the tub and did somehow manage to get out, by the time he could get anywhere else he'd die from the sustained injuries.
We dropped the pallet over the tub and added another one just to make it a little heavier. We left the land after we cleaned up any evidence of our presence of course. I made a call to Ralph to tell him about our new revelations.
All he did was sigh.
