For weeks Henry has tried and tried to teach our three year old how to pronounce Kal's name the correct way instead of how she says it.
To her his name is cow. which bless her little heart its adorable but Henry somethings gets upset.
I would be sitting there watching as he teaches her how to spell his name which she tries but some how messes up and he gets a little upset. So I intervne and take her away so he can cool off.
I know Kal is his bestfriend and has been with him through a whole lot. But I also know that our baby girl is trying to make her daddy happy by saying Kal's name right and spelling it.But messes up not meaning to.
So when I am around and he gets upset I take her away so she don't get upset like he is.

I sat with Esme as I hold open a superman book.
We got to the part where it says Kal-El.
"Alright baby what is this word?" I ask her as I sit on her bed holding her and pointing to the word.
"Cow" she says
"No, try again baby... lets sound it out ok.."
She nods her little head and waits.
"Ka.."
"Ka"
"al."
"al."
"Kal"
"Kal."
I toss the book and jump up with her in my arms and dance around.
"YEa baby girl you said it.
I sat her on the bed and walked over to her bedroom door.
"Say the name louder" I tell her
"KAL" She yells and I hear paws hitting the stairs before he comes bounding into the bedroom and right over to her.
I smile as I watched Esme giggle while petting and play with Kal.
"What did you need Kal for?" Henry asked walking up to me.
"I didn't call for him, she did" I reply not looking away from Esme.
"What?"
I looked at Henry and seen he was shocked.
"Esme, who are you playing with?"
"Kal."
This time Henry walks over and scoops her up and kisses her face.
"Yea you got his name right" he says as while smiling.
"Who taught you how to do it?" he asks her
"Mommy helped me."
" I had her sound it out, I didnt let it upset me."
He looked down knowing that every time she messed up on Kal's name he would get upset.
"That's why you would take her away?"
"She is learning, just like we are so when we teach her things we cant get upset. even if it involves our besdt friend."
He looks at her.
"Daddy is sorry for being upset when you messed up on Kal's name, he was aggrivated at himself not you" Henry tells her
She says nothing just wraps her arms around HEnry's neck and kisses his cheek making his heart melt before laying her head on his shoulder.
I ruffled and patted Kal's back.
"Your little sis learned how to say your name right. So now she can call you it and not cow" I tell him as I saquat down next to him and we watch the duo before us.
He sits on his butt and just pants while I sit on me and just pet him while looking at Henry as he holds Esmeralda.
