Eliza had been talking with him about how she was gonna tell August about having a date.
"Why don't you just go knock on his office door and say daddy can I talk to you. and then tell him" I suggest
"Will you be in there with me?" Liza asks
"I can if you want" I replied
She nodded her head and grabbed my hand before taking me to Auggy's office.
I watched as she debated on knocking before she finally did.
"Come in," Auggy said
She opened the door and walked in.
"Are you busy daddy?" she asked
"Not at the moment. why?" Auggy replied
"I wanna talk to you," she says making her way over to him as I shut the office door.
"Well come here and sit down," he tells her.
She sits before him in the chair to the left of his desk while I sit in the one to the right.
"What is the matter Liza?" he questioned.
She looks to me for encouragement and I smile then nod my head.
"Well daddy I have a date tonight, and I wanted to tell you so you wouldn't think its a surprise or being hidden from you," she tells him
He stands up and starts to pace.
"A date?" he asks
"Yea with a boy name Maxwell" she replied as she watched him pace behind his desk.
"Have I met him or mommy?"
"No, neither of you two have," she says
With that reply, Auggy sits down and goes to typing.
"Last name?" Auggy says
"Clarington" Liza replies knowing what her daddy was doing.
Nothing was said after that as Auggy did his research on the kid.
"No criminal record. he hasn't been in trouble whatsoever. and it says he is ... he is nineteen. are you serious Eliza Tiffany Walker?"
She looks down and I rub her back.
"Baby, calm down. I know it's surprising but you saw he is a good kid, I mean no issues with the law no bad record. I am sure you see good things about him." I tell Auggy
He looks at me.
"How long have you known?" he questions.
"I didn't know bout the date till today but I knew of her crush, and I told her to be sure she told you so you wouldnt get mad at her for keeping him a secret or he shows up at the house and you answer the door" I replied
He looks over at Liza and sees she is close to tears so I pull her to me and sit her on my lap not caring that she is a teenager. I comfort her.
"He is nineteen, two years her age" He clarifies.
"Yea and your four years mine baby" I reply.
"But she is my baby girl" he tries
"Know you know how my dad felt when he met you and learned that I was seeing you" I replied
He rubs his face and tells Eliza to come to him. I let her go and she goes over to him. He stands up and tilts her head up and wipes her eyes.
"I am not mad at you. and I am sorry I yelled. I love you will all my heart, and I want what is best for you. and if you want to go out with this kid then you can. but daddy and he will have a long talk and you nor mommy can but in" he tells her
"Alright Daddy," she says
"You have to be home before bedtime your still in school," he tells her
"I will."She promises
He nods his head and pulls her close to him and kisses her forehead before allowing her to walk off.

I stand there with Liza and Auggy gives Maxwell a long You hurt my daughter I will make you disappear talk which to say Maxwell was scared would be an understatement.
I shake my head as I watch the two of them before Auggy brought Maxwell over and wished him and Liza a fun date before patting Maxwell on his shoulders while Liza kissed Auggy on his cheek and wave bye as they left.
