Chapter Eleven: A Rude Awakening!
I clenched my jaw and hardened my fist; I didn’t want to believe what I was hearing. It didn’t make sense, I had literally just gotten there and it’s already been over two years. “Where is Elphis? I want to talk to him” I demanded, “I need to ask him a few questions.” I looked at the ceiling. It was made of wood; in fact the whole room was made of wood. It had a warm cosy touch to it, even though it was my first time there. “You can’t,” he replied to me, “it isn’t that simple, it takes a lot of energy for him to communicate here,” I could tell that he was trying to reassure me but it wasn’t working. I was letting my confusion consume me, “I don’t care, this isn’t fair, every time I get the hang of this world, something like this happens and ruins it. How am I supposed to save my friends and fight against other people when I’ve never even been in a fight before, this is hopeless.” A huge frown masked my face. “Are you a quitter?” The old man said unimpressed. Before I could answer his question he continued, “I don’t like quitters!” He looked at me sternly,” tell me boy, back on your planet, does everything go your way? Is everything fair? Is everything happy and peaceful? Unless you truly come from such a background, you have no reason to complain. Now tell me, where is your weapon?” I knew he was right, back on earth the unfair and unjust actions would make this place look like heaven, so why was I complaining. I opened my mouth to respond to him but then I realised that he asked me for my weapon. “What weapon?” I asked him with a puzzled look on my face. “I just got here remember?”

The old man simply looked at me and started patrolling up and down, mumbling to himself.” How on earth did he survive without a weapon? How can he not have a weapon? This is absurd. That mean, he must earn one quickly, but I have only heard about situations like this, is it even possible!” He finally stopped pacing and queried, “Can you walk?” He was weirder than Elphis. “Yes, I can! Wait what happened to me when I fell? How did you find me?” He strode towards me and dragged me out of the bed, “complicated sensing powers. Now! Wear this.” He handed me a silk gold and white high collar jacket; it had an elegant end that spread out to for two flat tails to let air move past quicker. The arms where cut off with some kind of animal fur at the ends. The end of the jacket also had the same kind of fur, the hood was a perfect fit and it too had fir around the edges. The old man then threw a matching pair of slim fit tight-like trousers at me. And some boots so match. “That outfit was designed for a reason; it will allow you to move fast than other closes, which would slow you down, it was blessed by Nike, the goddess of speed, strength and victory. If you have not got a weapon yet you are going to need it so I’ll let you have it.” He looked away and gave a cheeky smirk.

“Where are we going?” I asked him as I put on the boots. The smirk on his face grew “To train of course!”
