Chapter Twelve: The People of Arcani
I followed him out of the hut and into the open. The hut was fairly small and surprisingly it was not the only one. There were plenty of huts, enough for a large population of villagers, but there weren’t any people. I thought about it and that’s when I realised, it was stranger that there was any civilisation in the dimension in the first place, if I remember correctly this was a dimension created by the Gods for one purpose, to find the Gods. So then, if that’s the case why does...I don’t even know his name! “Excuse me! Sir! I want to ask you a few question before we continue.” I made sure that I said it softly so that I wouldn’t seem nosy. “My name is Maya; I am the chief of this village.” I stared at his back as he walked; he must be a little crazy, “Mr Maya-” He interrupted, “Maya will do.” I blushed, a little embarrassed, “Sorry, Maya. I don’t mean to be rude but... what village, there is no one here except yo-” before I could finish something hugged by leg. I looked down and there was a little girl with ginger hair and green eyes, just as green as Maya’s. “I halted and squinted at the little girl then at Maya and then back at the little girl, “Is she your daughter?” The little girl glared at me, her jade eyes gleaming with excitement. I knelt down and patted her on the head. She smiled so I smiled back at her. Maya paused and turned around his face as stern as ever, “They are all my children.” His face lit up as a huge grin replaced his sternness. I turned around to see a large number of people standing together behind me. All of them possessing the jade green eyes, all different in age, size and structure, but they all inherited their chiefs green eyes and large smile, I was a little afraid to see their stern side.

“This is my village and these are my children, welcome to Arcani Village!”
