Chapter Nine: The Flying Snake!
If I remember correctly, Elphis had done this before and he gave me a set of instructions. I couldn’t remember all of them but it was something like “Arcadio! Remember be careful there are dangerous creatures. You have to win. Find this, do that! I’ve forgotten everything” I exhaled a loud sigh; at least there weren’t any ‘dangerous creatures’ here. I walked for a good thirty minutes before I came across some signs of intelligent life. There was a path and a sign but it was worn out so I couldn’t make out what it said it didn’t even look like English. At least I could follow the path. The only problem was that I didn’t know which direction I should follow, up or down. Again the wind blew, this time it was stronger. It insisted that I go up the path but I was determined not to follow. I stood my ground and waited for it to pass and then proceeded to walk down the path.

I walked for another five minutes until I came across a cliff. I stood at the edge and looked at the view below. All I could see for miles were trees. There wasn’t much technology and even stranger I hadn’t seen a single animal. This environment would be perfect for them, yet I hadn’t seen a single one. I was about to turned around to walk back up the path but I was shocked by what I saw next.

There was a strange serpent flying across the sky. It was white and it had strange orbs levitating around its long winding body. I had never seen such a magnificent creature in my life. It possessed long shining whiskers that flowed half way down its body but I couldn’t make out much else since it was so far away. I’d always had good sight but there was no way I could see that far. It wriggled its way into the sky further and further away until it was nothing but a white blur.  Maybe that’s why there weren’t any other creatures here.

Out of nowhere the wind began to blow again, stronger and fiercer than any wind I had experienced in my life. I stretchered my foot back to grip against the ground but I was too close to the edge. My foot slipped. I panicked and fell knocking my head onto the ground and ended up blacking out.
