Chapter Fifteen: The Vision Of A Miracle!
The closer I got the quicker my blood pumped! I was happy yet sad at the same time. I had the honour of meeting this incredible creature yet it was trapped here, and only because it helped the Arcani People. I wanted to free it and I yearned for the power to do so.

Before I could finally make contact with Arcani the ground began to shake again! “No!” I shouted, “I was so close, please just let me near.” I wasn’t sure how and why, but I felt a great bond between the beast. I tried to reach out towards it, but I couldn’t maintain balance. I fell back and onto the floor banging my head really hard against the ground. I was so close, I could feel a miracle about to happen, but right now all I could feel was me losing consciousness.

I opened my eyes to find myself lying on the spot where I ran into the tree. Maya was the first thing I saw. He was poking me with a stick and shouting.”Get up! Get up! There is an earthquake, I think a great beast is coming this way, we need to get back to the village.” He carried on prodding me until I got up. He mentioned earthquake. That’s the same thing that happened before I saw Arcani. I must have had vision or something. I had to get back to the tablet. Arcani was there!

Maya walked past me and ordered me to follow him, but this time I couldn’t do that, I was going to go and see Arcani. I started running, I didn’t even know if I was running the right way but I could sense the source of the earthquake and that’s where I was heading. Maya turned around and saw me running, “What are you doing! Are you stupid? I said it’s dangerous!” I turned around and laughed “I know, but I have to be brave!”

Maya paused and turned around,” I can’t let you die, your coming with me!” He lifted up his hand and a wall of fire surrounded me,” I can’t let you die, what you are trying to achieve is called suicide.” I turned around and glared at him. He was wasting my time, Arcani was waiting for me and he of all people was standing in my way not some beast or creature. I didn’t care if I was going to get burnt; a little fire wasn’t going to stop me from going.

 I put my foot back and sprinting into the hellfire. Maya looked at me in shocked, murmuring under his breath,” You idiot!” I ran but it wasn’t enough. I was running at the average pace of a human but I had to go faster than that. I tensed my muscles and cried out, “Arcani!” My blood began to boil, exploding with energy. I felt like I had been sleeping, hiding some kind of power that I was about to unleash. I was doing it. My legs were moving faster and stronger, the earth beneath my feet crumbled with every step I took. My body was soaking up power from my surrounding and I was turning it into my own. I didn’t have power of my own to use so I had to borrow some. I smirked and thought to myself “I’d like to see Maya stop me now!”
