Chapter Twenty: A Rare Talent!
Leaving my meditation state, I stood up and jump onto the ground. I’d never in a million years know that I could do something like what I just did. I walked towards my first tree, thinking about how I was going to cut it. Maya focused all him energy into his finger tips and truck the tree, releasing all his energy into a single point. I took a deep breath, just as he did, arched my legs and closed my eyes. I focused on my finger with all my might. I opened my eyes and almost immediately after, I released all the energy onto the surface of the tree. It wasn’t as easy as I thought. The tree didn’t split, instead I bruised the ends of my fingers and a soaring pain surged up my arm. I stepped back and glared at Maya. He knew it wasn’t so simple yet he didn’t warn me. If I had put any more energy into it the force would have recoiled and maybe even broke my fingers. What kind of wood was this?

I sat on the floor and crossed my legs. There had to me an explanation for this. Before I could ponder any further, Maya walked towards me and said “I’m finished. Times up.” I stood up and looked at his area. I couldn’t believe it but his area was clear. “I’m sorry, I failed. I couldn’t move any of them.” I sank my head down. “You passed. I saw the way you calmed down and meditated. For a rookie you are very skilled at connecting with your surrounding and you even controlled that small bird. That is a rare skill, not many people can do that, not even Gods. Every living creature has its own soul thus it has its own will, but you managed to sync with it and alter its will. You really are something special.” I looked at him, my eyes almost tearing up. It meant a lot to hear someone as experience as him says that. “I am going back to village; I will be back at sunset. I want you to try lifting the trees when I’m gone and practise meditating, keep connecting with the life around you and if you are up for the challenge command as many of them as you can.”

He smiled and walked past me. I waited for him to leave then I went to the first tree that I knocked over. I paused and observed it for a few seconds; I still couldn’t understand why it didn’t break. “I need to ask Maya,” I mumbled to myself. I walked to the root where it had split; I managed to break it back then, so why couldn’t I break it now. I bent down and surveyed the end of the tree...it was hollow. It was dark inside but I could see strings of glowing wire, a purple blue mixture. We didn’t have anything like this on earth as far as I knew so I was really surprised. I put my hand on the end and picked it up! I picked it up with surprising ease. It was a lot lighter than it looked so then why would Maya make me go through all that? Why not just tell be it was hollow inside and really light
