Leo's eyes flew open. He gasped. He looked around to see where he was. Then he looked at Jason.
'Jason?' He seemed puzzled. 'Where am I? What happened?'
Jason blinked. 'You were dead.'
'Oh.' Leo said slowly. 'Does that mean - Holy Hephaestus! The physicians cure worked!'
Jason couldn't believe Leo was alive! Still, he knew there was a battle up ahead, and they need Leo to help fight Uranus.
'I guess so.' Jason smiled.
'Thank the gods! Oh, and one thing: GET ME THE TARTARUS OUT OF THIS FLAMING CAGE!' Leo screamed so loud, Jason was sure the Russians could've heard him.
Jason's smile disintegrated. 'Right, sorry.'
He thought about how to unlock the cage when he thought about the enchantment Żonë gave him.
It would aid you in a key moment. The nymph said. This was a key. The spell would act as a key to unlock the cage.
He dug it out of his pocket(all though he wondered how it got there) and unrolled it.
'Whatcha gonna do? Beat the cage with paper?' Leo joked.
'Not paper, papyrus.' Jason realised. He began speaking the spell, which was short: ad-hir - open.
The cage began to glow orange. The bars expanded, and the cage began to shrink. Jason was scared Leo was going to get crushed, but as soon as the roof touched Leo's curly black hair, it vanished, leaving a very nauseous Leo, groaning on the floor.
Jason helped Leo up and they walked out of the forest, Leo leaning against Jason for support. Just in case Leo fell, Jason had his arm wrapped around him.
'You okay?' Jason asked as soon as Leo was better.
'Yeah, just, you know-' Leo paused and covered his mouth with a fist as if he were going to puke.
Jason felt queasy, but he didn't dare reveal it.
They were out of the forest, but still not in plain sight. They were just passing the Pegasus stables and one whined, possibly Blackjack, Percy's Pegasus.
They just walked by.
The pair were nearing the cabins when a voice shouted, 'It's Leo! Hey, everybody, Leo's alive!'
At this point, Leo looked unconscious. Nobody stirred at first, apart from the Hephaestus cabin.
When Harley (yeah, like the motorcycle), one of Leo's younger half-siblings, found the boys, he yelled, 'Leo! It's Leo! He's really here! And alive!'
When Harley's cabin mates heard him, they rushed to see if this 8-year-old boy was telling the truth. And, to their surprise, he did.
All of them raced down to see their old head councillor. When they saw the state Leo was in, they calmed down and rushed to his aid. They asked different questions at the same time, like, 'what's wrong with him?' or 'where did you find him?' or 'how is he alive? Was he even dead?' or 'where'd you find him?'. Jason didn't even bother to answer any.
'Get him to safety. Give him ambrosia and nectar. He needs rest. He has a big part to play in the battle.' Jason told them.
They brought Leo back to cabin 9 and nurtured him.
'Jason,' Nico said, emerging from the shadows as if he were one. 'Uh, I've got something to confess.'

They walked towards Jason's cabin.
Jason asked, 'What is it, Nico?'
'It's about Leo.' He hesitated. 'Remember when I told you that Leo's death felt mechanical? Well, that's true. And as you probably already know, Leo took the physician's cure. Festus poured it into Leo's mouth or injected it into him, and that resurrected him.'
Jason nodded. 'Because Festus revived Leo, that's what made his death more mechanical than human.'
Nico looked at the ground, suddenly interested in his shoes. 'Yeah.'
When they reached Cabin 1, Nico left, and Jason went inside to plot Plan B.
He said to himself, 'He will come. He will come. He will come.'
He paced around the cabin, pondering ways to defeat Uranus without Kronos.
'We could use - Nah, that won't work.' He thought aloud. Then, when Jason thought things stopped getting weird, a golden flash of light appeared in front of him. It flickered revealing a familiar god. He had a shaggy beard and curly hair. He was grasping onto a lightning bolt.
'Father?' Jason said.
'Yes, it is I, the god of the wind. And I came for a little deal.'
