Chapter Thirty Five

"Your life, instead of hers..."

I was stunned by those words...

"Y-you want---"

"Your life dear." Nakangising sabi nya sakin.

Tinanggal nya ang pagkakatutok ng baril kay Ash, at tinapat iyon sakin.

"Why are you doing this Alea!?" Galit na sigaw ni Grey sa kanya.

Mula sa malademonyong ngiti nya, lumipat ang tingin nya sa tabi ko---- kay Grey.

The anger on her eyes faded, it becomes gentle... then suddenly ay parang nanunumbat.

"Wanna know babe?" Malambing pero may diin ang pagkakasabi nya.

Hindi na sumagot si Grey, nakatingin lang sya kay Medusa. Ang bitch na nagpaka demonyita na ngayon.

"Fine, lemme tell you a story." Nagseryoso ang muka nya na parang may inaalala.

"There's this girl, a seven year old girl who doesn't even experience being a normal kid. Whenever she moves, her mother was always there to stop her." she started her story

"She didn't even experience playing with other kids... because of her disease. But hey, she's fine with it. She really doesn't mind it, cause her twin brother was always there for her. Then suddenly, out of the blue." tumingin sya ng masama sakin.

"Her brother met a girl, a new neighbor. Because of that, her brother was always out of her sight. In short, he left her for that girl. Imagine that? He's her only playmate, yet that bitch stole her brother from her."

Parang biglang nag-play sa utak ko yung pangyayaring yon. If I'm not mistaken, the girl is she and that brother of her is obviously Drey.

I remembered, when I was six, we moved out of our house to find a new home. It was when my father died.

My mother can't fix herself whenever she's seeing our old house, all of my father's memories was there. So we need to move out, in able for us to move on.

And there, in our new home I met this boy named Drey. He's so talkative at makulit kaya gusto ko syang kasama. Kasi nakakalimutan ko yung sakit ng pagkawala ni Dad.

We first met when he sa me crying my eyes out, it was the first time I cried since my Dad died. Ayokong ayoko kasing umiiyak sa harap ng ibang tao. Since then, he promised me na araw araw nya akong pupuntahan to make sure na hindi na ako iiyak ulit.

"When that happened, the little girl accepted it, though she hated the other girl. She tried na siraan ang babae, but it didn't worked. So she just let it passed."

"One time, she's alone in their room, he's brother is out... probably because of that girl again, she decided to watch tv. The moment she open the television, she was stunned, she saw a little boy on that television... and for the first time naging masaya sya kahit na magisa lang sya. After that, lagi nya nalang inistalk yung guy na nakita nya. At the age of seven, she fell inlove..." she looked at Grey.

All I can see in her eyes is... longing.

Longing?

For whom?

For Grey?

Could it be...

"After years, she was fine... she was perfectly fine, that's what they all thought. But then, when she was 15 the doctor said she needs to be cured outside the country because her disease had gone worse... it's fine for her bacause she knew that her family will come along. That's what she thought, it never came to her mind that her own brother--- same blood and flesh, will reject her. Her brother wants to stay to be with that bitch!"

Tumingin sya sakin ng matalim.

That was when we are graduating students.. Drey's sister needs to be brought to America, okay lang naman sa kanya na umalis ang kapatid nya. Pero ayaw nyang sumama..

Dinahilan nya pa na nangako daw sya sakin na hindi sya aalis sa tabi ko at baka umiyak nanaman ako kagaya nung mga bata pa kami.

"But no matter what happened, kailangan nyang sumama. And yes, sumama nga sya. But he looked at his sister like she's a witch. As if it's her fault to have that kind of disease, na kasalanan nya na mapalayo ang kapatid nya sa babaeng yun!"

Huminga sya ng malalim, pinipigilan nyang tumulo ang luha nya.

"Years passed, bumalik ang magkapatid. But the girl's admiration to that boy she saw on the television is still there. That's why she decided to get some help from her uncle, who is a director. She was so happy that time. Imagine? Finally, makikita nya na rin yung lalaking yun. The time comes, nakita nya yung guy... naging magkaibigan sila... MAGKAIBIGAN..."

She looked at Grey, and then to me.

"She thought na magiging okay na ang lahat, she thought that the guy she loves, will love her back. Umasa sya, umasa talaga sya... But for the second time around, the guy he wanted was stolen from her. And what she hated the most was the thought that the girl who stole her brother, was the same girl who stole her love!!"

She glared at me as if she's killing me inside her brain.

"AND THAT'S YOU ISHA!! YOU, FVCK'N BITCH!"
