Trevor quit his job the same day that he went back to work. He knew that what was best for his family was for him to be very active in their lives. He needed to be there for his son and wife more than he ever has been before. He also wanted to be around for the baby that wasn't even there yet.
"It's nice that you can come to my appointment. My checkups have been lonely without you." Olivia spoke as she held her husband's hand as she filled out a few forms with her other hand.
"Liv, I'd never miss the appointment where we get to find out what our kid is. Even if we both know that it's probably a boy." Trevor chuckled.
"Oh, this kid is definitely a boy." Olivia smiled, as she finished filling in a blank.
They sat there for a while after Olivia turned in her paperwork and they talked about having two little boys. They knew that they'd probably end up with three or four sons before they are done having kids, but neither minded that. They just wanted Quintin to grow up in a big, happy, and loving family.
"Olivia Langan?" A nurse asked. Olivia smiled as she patted her husband's leg before standing.
"It's time to find out." Olivia grinned.

Laying on the examination table, Olivia watched the screen as the ultrasound tech ran the wand over her stomach. He pointed out the baby's head, arms and legs, and then talked to the expectant parents about their second little boy.
"It was clear from the start that he's a boy. But I do have some concerns." The tech spoke. Olivia's eyes went wide as she turned her eyes away from the screen and at the tech.
"Concerns? What's wrong with our baby?" Olivia asked as tears burned her eyes.
"I'm not allowed to tell you, but I'm going to go get your doctor. Just sit put and try to relax." The tech spoke before leaving quietly. Olivia looked at Trevor before swallowing hard.
"He's sick." Olivia whispered.
"No-"
"Why would he say that he has some concerns and then leave to get Dr. O'Neal? Clearly something is wrong with our baby, and it scares me... I love him." Olivia whimpered.
"I love him too. But we just can't get too worked up without knowing why we are worked up. Okay? Now, lay back and just breath. Remember how your old therapist said that when you get anxious, all you need to focus on is breathing until your mind is cleared?"
"Y-yeah." Olivia struggled to breath.
"Then let's do it together. I think we both could use a clear mind before Dr. O'Neal comes in to tell us the news. Inhale, baby."

Dr. O'Neal performed another ultrasound on Olivia before asking her and Trevor to join her in her office. Olivia was shaking as she sat and waited for Dr. O'Neal to join them.
"Alright, here is some water for both of you." She spoke, as she handed a bottle to both of the anxious parents.
"What's wrong with our son?" Olivia asked quickly. She just wanted to be told the truth. She wanted to know the facts about whatever condition her son has, so then she can plan. She can plan on taking time off of work to make sure her stress levels don't hurt her son further, or figure out if she'll need extra time off if her baby ends up needing to have surgeries after he is born or not.
"I was able to detect a large hole in his heart. One that will not close by itself." She spoke softly.
"Oh god." Olivia sobbed, as she quickly covered her mouth with her hands and cried.
"Olivia, right now he is safe inside of you. You are protecting him, and that's what he needs right now. But once he's born, he'll have to stay in the NICU until we can either fix the whole in his heart or get him a new one. Over the next five months, we will figure out a plan that will work best for him and for you." Dr. O'Neal spoke as gently as she could.
"Will he even make it through delivery?" Olivia whimpered.
"We are going to do a c-section to make sure we can get him help as soon as he is born, and to prevent further stress on him. Okay?"
"No, it's not okay! My son is sick! He could die!" Olivia sobbed loudly, before she stood and left the office. Trevor frowned deeply before shrugging.
"I should go check on her... could you send us stuff about his condition so we can read up?" Trevor asked, as he stood and raked his fingers through his hair.
"Of course. Take her home, and I'll schedule a fancier ultrasound to make sure we can get a real indepth look of your son's heart. I'm sorry."
"We just can't catch a break."

By the time Trevor got outside, Olivia had already left. He didn't know how she left since he had driven and had the keys, but she wasn't in the parking lot. Trevor knew she probably needed space, but he didn't want to give it to her. They just found out their little boy would need surgery as soon he's born, and they needed to stick together.
"Hey, what's up?" Elliot asked, after answering Trevor's call.
"Is Olivia there or did she call you?" Trevor frowned, as he drove around looking for his wife.
"No, she isn't here and she hasn't contacted me. What's wrong? Did you find out what you two are having this time around?" Elliot asked.
"We did. But he's sick and Olivia ran off before I could get to her." Trevor swallowed hard.
"How did she run off? She's twenty weeks pregnant with your kid!" Elliot exclaimed.
"I don't know if she actually ran off, Elliot. But I need to find her and talk to her."
"What's wrong with the baby?" Elliot spoke with a sigh.
"Giant hole in his heart. Not only did she find out our son needs surgery or a heart transplant, she also found out that she will have to have a c-section and you know how she feels about surgery."
"I'll go look for her and tell Kathy to keep an eye out for her... we will find her."
