Robert, even if he wasn't born yet, was already called Robbie by everyone and was so very loved. And because he was already so loved, it was even more difficult that all of his loved ones had to wait almost a month to get the proper diagnosis of his heart condition.
"Are you ready?" Trevor asked, as his wife got ready the morning of the ultrasound.
"Not yet. I'm having a hard time just doing anything at all this morning." Olivia frowned.
"Just think, once we get home, we will have a plan." Trevor spoke, and Olivia nodded hesitantly as an alarm went off on her phone.
"We need to get Quintin up and ready for school." She breathed.
"I'll go do that. Just try to finish getting ready. I love you, Olivia." Trevor spoke as he moved to their bedroom door.
"Trevor, what if Robbie isn't the only one of our babies to end up sick?" Olivia asked slowly.
"Quintin has nothing wrong with his heart, so maybe Robbie will be our only sick baby."
"I just wish that none of our kids, even the future ones... that they'd have to face something like this." Olivia whispered. She started to cry, and when her husband approached her, she just fanned him off and slipped into the bathroom.

"He has grown, which is good." Dr. O'Neal smiled, as she looked over the sonogram pictures and the recording of the ultrasound after Olivia's appointment. She knew what the diagonsis was as soon as she saw the video, and now she just needed to talk to Olivia and Trevor about it.
"So the defect is still there?" Olivia asked nervously, as she held on tightly to her husband's hand.
"It is. But we got a better view of it, and the baby-"
"His name is Robert... Robbie... can we talk about him like he's going to be born alive?" Olivia spoke quickly, and Dr. O'Neal nodded.
"Of course. Robbie has an atrioventricular septal defect, or an AVSD. It's a complete AVSD, so that means the hole is large and in the middle of his heart. It's preventing his heart from working properly. I'm going to order a fetal echocardiogram. It'll give us a closer look and truly see how bad it is. But Robbie is gaining weight, and that's good."
"Dr. O'Neal... how can you fix this? Or like his fancy heart doctor will fix this?"
"His new doctor, which will talk you through the fetal echocardiogram results, will come up with a treatment plan. More than likely they will let Robbie stabilize in the NICU and then take him to the OR and properly seperate the upper and lower parts of his heart." Dr. O'Neal spoke, as she pulled a few pamplets out of her desk and passed them to the expectant parents.
"Do you think this will happen again?" Trevor mused, as he glanced over at his wife.
"What do you mean?" Dr. O'Neal questioned, as Olivia put the pamplets into her purse before gently running her fingers over her stomach.
"Like, we want to have more kids. Do you think that our next baby could end up with the same defect?"
"I don't believe that it will happen again. It would be super rare for you two to have another baby that is just as sick as Robbie."
"Are we done here?" Olivia whispered.
"Do you have any more questions?" Dr. O'Neal questioned. She was watching her patient and was worried that Olivia was just going to bottle everything up.
"I'm fine... I have to get to work."
///
Trevor drove out to his parent's house and went inside without even knocking.
"Mom?" Trevor called, and after a few moments Tally quickly came to the front door.
"Hey, honey. How was the appointment?" Tally questioned, as she walked to her son and gently grabbed his hands.
"Olivia's doctor said that Robbie has a AVSD. It's complete so that is why the hole is so big." Trevor sighed softly.
"How is she doing? You?" Tally mused, as she led her son over to the couch and forced him to sit down. Trevor raked his fingers through his hair before speaking again.
"I'm scared and worried. Olivia is bottling everything up. She's going to break just like she did when I was sick."
"She is strong, Trevor. Now, do they have a treatment plan?"
"Not yet. Olivia has another appointment coming up next week to determine how bad the defect really is. I'm just praying that it isn't so bad to the point that Robbie has to be born super early. He's considered big enough to live in the outside world, but not without extreme supportive care."
"Trevor, I think that maybe we should pray for Robbie."
"Mom-"
"Not right now, but with everyone that loves him. The crew could come along with your siblings. We just need to surround that little boy and Olivia was as much love and support as possible."
"I'll make some calls. See if this Sunday night would work. Then maybe she'll feel at ease and be able to sleep more than a few hours."
///
Olivia had to work a longer shift on Sunday, so she didn't know about the prayer circle that Trevor and Tally had set up.
"Uh, Trev?" Olivia asked when she got home. A lot of people were parked on the side of the road, but it was too dark outside for Olivia to truly determine who's cars were there.
"Hey, baby." Trevor smiled. He moved to his wife and kissed her softly before gently touching her stomach as he held her close.
"Are you having a party?"
"We are doing something special tonight."
"What?" Olivia yawned. She had been up for hours and didn't want to do much more than just climb into bed and snuggle with her husband and son.
"We are all here to pray for you and Robbie."
"Trevor-"
"We want to show you both how much we love and support you two. And my mother said she can include me and Quintin in the circle of love and support." Trevor smiled softly.
"I don't know..."
"Honey, just give it a shot. Maybe this will help you relax."
"Okay."
///
Olivia, Trevor, and Quintin sat on the sofa and everyone else surrounded them. Olivia felt uncomfortable, but once Tally started to pray, she completely broke down and started to sob.
For the last month, she felt alone even if her husband and her family were there for her. She felt like she and Robbie were alone and that she'd have to deal with his medical problems all by herself.
But now as she sat here and could actually feel the love around her, she knew that she wasn't alone. That there would always be someone there to help her. Help Robbie, Trevor, and Quintin.
"Are you okay?" Trevor asked softly, as he reached out and rubbed tears from his wife's cheeks.
"We can do this." Olivia sniffled.
"Liv?"
"We made it through your lung condition, Quintin's anxiety and behaviour issues, and we will make it through Robbie's surgeries." Olivia smiled, before looking around at everyone standing in her living room.
"Liv, you are kinda creeping me out." Elliot chuckled.
"I love you all so much... thank you. For everything."
