On Wednesday, three days after everyone came together to rally around Robbie and his family, it was time for yet another test. This time Robbie's heart doctor was going to be running tests on his heart and start to come up with a plan for after he was born and needed surgery. The test would also determine if Robbie was healthy enough to wait longer before he was born.
"Olivia Langan?" A gentle voice asked.
"That's me." Olivia sighed. She pushed herself up and grabbed her husband's hand as they moved through the empty waiting room.
"I'm Dr. Rivers. I'm going to be an expert on your son's heart by the time he's born." Dr. Rivers smiled as he reached his hand out to Olivia and Trevor.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Trevor." Trevor spoke.
"I'm glad that you two are both invested in this. Having a sick child can really cause stress in a relationship."
"We are used to it." Olivia spoke before they walked down the hall. They moved into a room and Dr. Rivers talked Olivia and Trevor through what the test was going to be before leaving the room to gather what he needed.
"I'm scared." Olivia whispered as she looked at her husband.
"I am too, but everything will be okay. He's sick, but at least we know now and don't get surprised after he's born. He'll be just fine, honey." Trevor smiled softly, as he rubbed his wife's back.
"But he hasn't been fine, Trevor. He isn't going to just magically have a complete heart. I know that you want to stay positive about this all, but it's really hard for me to do that while also trying to learn the truth."

"Elliot?" Olivia whispered, as she stood outside of the Sex Crimes door. Elliot looked up from his computer and eyed her for a moment before standing and walking towards her.
"Liv?" Elliot mused, and Olivia swallowed hard.
"Robbie is going to be born at thirty weeks. Any longer... he might not be able to make it through the c-section." Olivia whimpered.
Elliot frowned deeply before wrapping his arms around Olivia's body. He held her close and craddled her head as she sobbed.
They had all been confident that Robbie's heart was strong enough to last till his due date. But instead he was coming ten weeks early and would get his first surgery not long after he took his first breath.
"Olivia." Elliot breathed, after he held Olivia for awhile and had the whole crew stop and watch them.
"I'm scared." Olivia whispered, as she leaned back and looked at Elliot.
"I know you are, Olivia. But clearly this is what is meant to happen. He needs to get help sooner rather than later so then he can see the day that he puts you and Trevor into a nursing home." Elliot spoke, smiling a bit as he said the last part. Olivia nodded slowly as Elliot reached out and rubbed the tears from Olivia's cheeks.
"Trevor and I got into a fight..."
"About Robbie?"
"About me wanting to refuse an early c-section. He said I was being selfish... He's never called me that before." Olivia frowned.
"You deserve to be selfish every once and awhile."
"But not in this way, Elliot. If I'm being selfish this time around, it means that my son's needs don't come before my own. But they do. My boys, including Trevor, will always come before me."
"Liv, if you need a place to stay and clear your head... you are always welcomed in my home. Kathy is home right now if you wanted to go there and talk to her."
"I'm going to work my shift. So please tell me that we have a case."
"We don't." Elliot frowned.
"We will catch something today, Langan. Just do that paperwork that has been sitting on your desk for the last week." Cragen spoke, and Olivia sighed.
"I was hoping to get out of that... but it's better than going home right now."

The next morning, after Olivia tried to do everything but focusing on what was happening in regards to Robbie and her fight with Trevor, she finally went home.
"I want Mama!" Quintin screamed, as he slammed his cup of milk onto the table and it spilt all over.
"Quintin why are you throwing a fit?" Olivia asked, as she came into the kitchen. Quintin looked up from the table and ran to his mother as he cried.
"I want you, Mama! Not Daddy!" Quintin sobbed. Olivia wrapped her arms around her son and rubbed his back for a moment before holding him at arms' length.
"Apologize to your father for behaving this way, Quintin."
"But-"
"And then grab a towel and clean up your milk. After school we will be discussing this." Olivia spoke sternly. Quintin sniffled before nodding slowly.
"Yes, Mama." He whispered, before quickly moving to clean up the milk.
"I'm surprised that you came home." Trevor sighed.
"Cragen sent me home. He said that he'd call me in if we get a big case." Olivia replied.
"So you can avoid me again?" Trevor huffed.
"Can we please just drop this?"
"We can't drop this because you want to harm our son by keeping him inside of you longer." Trevor spat.
"Daddy, don't be mean to Mama." Quintin huffed.
"Quintin, don't speak to your Daddy like that. Apologize and then go get ready for school." Olivia frowned, before turning and walking back towards the garage.
"Olivia!" Trevor yelled, but Olivia ignored him.
She didn't want to fight, but it was clear that that was the only thing that was going to happen.

Olivia drove Quintin to school and dropped him off before going back home. She found her husband cleaning out the garage, so she parked in the driveway.
"I've scheduled my c-section for October fourteenth. It's going to be at eight that night." Olivia spoke, as she moved away from her van and to where her husband was digging through some old boxes.
"Oh, so you finally decided to be respon-"
"Trevor, stop being a giant asshole. I have the right to be selfish in this matter. To want to protect Robbie for as long as I can. But I'm doing the right thing for him, so you can stop being a jerk." Olivia huffed.
"You don't have the right to be selfish!" Trevor yelled, and Olivia closed her eyes tightly as she breathed slowly.
"Since you and I met, I've did everything for you. When we had Quintin? I never focused on myself anymore. You two were my world, and now Robbie is also part of my world. I'd do anything for you three... but I get tired of never getting to do anything for myself. You got to quit your job and stay home and take care of Quintin. I work long hours and almost every day just to make sure you can be happy and stay home. So stop yelling at me for being selfish when you have been more selfish than I have ever been."
