Olivia went home with Quintin and her inlaws shortly after finding out her husband was fine. She made sure to make Quintin's lunch, to set his clothes out, and to write him a note telling him about his father. Then she fell into bed because she knew that she'd want to get to the hospital as soon as Tally and Matthew were up to take care of Quintin before school.
"Alright, here is your breakfast and your mug of tea." Tally smiled, as Olivia came downstairs. Olivia eyed her mother-in-law for a moment, before taking the paper bag and the togo mug.
"Thanks? I thought you two were still asleep." Olivia spoke.
"Matthew and I decided to get up early enough to make Quintin a good breakfast and lunch, but then we saw you already packed his lunch."
"With everything that has happened with Trevor, I try to get things ready the night before to give Quintin time to relax before class," Olivia spoke.
"You have dealt with this very well, Olivia. I'm proud of you." Tally smiled.
"I just had to do what I had to do. Trevor was giving up and Quintin was having a very hard time, so I couldn't give up." Olivia sighed.
"Well, you are the strongest woman I have met. Keep it up." Tally spoke, before stepping close and hugging her daughter-in-law tightly.

Olivia ate her breakfast and drank her tea in the car before heading into the hospital. She headed upstairs and straight to the ICU room that Trevor had been staying in since October.
"I'm surprised that we haven't seen you sooner." Dr. Young smiled, as he came out of Trevor's room.
"I needed to sleep... I guess I didn't quite realize how tired I was." Olivia breathed.
"I'm glad that you got some sleep... now, you can go in and see Trevor but you have to wear a mask, gloves, and one of these gowns." Dr. Young spoke, and Olivia nodded as she felt tears well in her eyes. All she wanted was to touch her husband for the first time in forever. She wanted to hug and kiss him.
"How long is he going to be sedated?" Olivia asked, as she looked into the room and saw that her husband was intubated.
"We will see later. I'm hoping that with enough pain medication, he can wake up today."
"I don't want you to wake him up too soon and for him to be in a lot of pain." Olivia breathed.
"I have given nearly fifty lung transplants. Every time it's different. Trevor may end up being in a lot of pain, or just a little bit of pain. All we can do is see if waking him up and managing his pain is good enough, or for a few days he should be out so he doesn't feel the initial healing."
"Is there a chance that he won't wake up?" Olivia whispered.
"There is always a chance of that. But let's stay hopeful. Now, let's get you in there."

Trevor was sedated for many days. Dr. Young, the nurses, and Olivia decided that to make sure Trevor didn't suffer, they would keep him sedated for as long as possible before he showed signs of trying to wake up from the sedation.
A month after Trevor's surgery, and a month after Olivia and Trevor's sixth anniversary went by without any celebration at all, Trevor woke up. He had been off of his sedation for about a day, but then it was just a waiting game until he actually woke up. Trevor had had a few complications after his transplant. He had developed a small infection, but that was combated with antibiotics. He also had an allergic reaction to his anti-rejection meds, but once those were changed he was starting to heal.
"You need a shave." Olivia sighed, as she sat beside her husband and gently caressed his cheek. His immune system had grown stronger, and those around him no longer needed to wear masks, gloves, or sterile gowns.
"Then give me a shave." Trevor yawned. Olivia jumped up and stared at her husband with wide eyes.
"What? How long have you been awake?!" Olivia squeaked.
"I woke up late last night. I told Dr. Young to not tell you so I could surprise you." Trevor smiled. Olivia quickly leaned down and pressed her lips firmly against Trevor's chapped lips as she tried to blink away tears.
"I can't believe you are awake and that I'm kissing you," Olivia whispered as she rested her forehead against her husband's.
"Have I missed a lot?" Trevor asked, and Olivia shrugged.
"I don't know, baby. Depends on what-"
"No matter how little the things are, I wanna know what has happened." Trevor breathed. Olivia settled down onto the edge of the bed before gently reaching out and running her fingers through her husband's thick and curly hair.
"We've been married for six years... Quintin is having a hard time again since you had been sedated for a month... and Elliot and I are up for the Sergeant exam..."
"Really? Liv, that's amazing." Trevor smiled, only feeling like approaching the good news in that statement. He hated that Quintin was having a hard time and that he slept through their anniversary.
"I know you feel bad about our anniversary and Quinny... don't be though. You had no control over what was happening." Olivia breathed.
"Maybe by our seventh anniversary, we will have another baby." Trevor smiled as he tried to stay hopeful and optimistic.
"We don't have to-"
"I want more kids. I want my life back... I'm tired of staying in this damn hospital and not being able to do what I love."
"They said that you might be able to get out of here a few days after you woke up. So just listen to them and do what they tell you to do so then we can go home."
"Can you bring Quinny up?" Trevor asked, and Olivia sighed before nodding.
"Yeah, I can... I'll bring him up after he gets out of school... do you want to sleep again?" Olivia spoke.
"Liv-"
"I think you need to just relax. We can't have you get worked up. So I'll see you later. I love you."
