Nagmadali akong pumunta sa kumpanya. Nanginginig ako sa sobrang kaba na nadarama. Paanong... paano nangyari iyon? May nadamay bang mga tao? Sana naman wala.

"Architect! Urgent meeting po!" Sabi saakin ni Pia nang makita akong hinihingal. Tumango ako sakanya. She lead the way to the conference room.

When I entered the room, my siblings and my cousins were already there. Papa and the other board members weren't here yet. Kami pa lang ang nandito.

"What happened?" I asked. I took a deep breath because I feel like dying in my way here. I held onto the swivel chair to support my weight. Nahilo ako bigla.

"That's my question, too. What the fuck happened?" Xavi hissed. "I mean, I was so hands-on on that project. Lahat ng materials na reniquest ni Architect, sinunod namin. I don't understand."

"True. We made sure that we won't do a single mistake on that project." I agreed to Xavi. Sobrang focus at careful kami sa project na iyon dahil iyon ang pinakamalaking project ng kumpanya at nai-assign saamin iyon.

"We'll investigate to this," Kuya Ali said.

"Pero..." I trailed off. "The workers were fine, right?" I asked with full of hope.

Nagkatinginan silang lahat at katahimikan ang namayani sa loob ng silid. Halos itaboy ako ng sariling kong mga paa at bigla itong nanlambot. Blake went to me right away and manage to help me stand still.

"What..." hindi ko alam ang sasabihin. Nanikip ang dibdib ko habang iniisip na may nadamay na mga tauhan dahil lang sa pagiging irresponsible namin.

"Hey," Xena snapped. "It wasn't your fault. We will fix this, okay?"

"Wala namang namatay, diba?"

"None, thankfully," Ate sighed. "Some were injured badly and some were just minor. They're in the hospital right now and the company will took responsibility for what happened."

I felt relieved a bit because of that. Salamat at walang namatay. Hindi kakayanin ng konsensya ko kapag nagkataon.

Ilang saglit pa ay dumating na ang mga board members at pati si Papa. The meeting went really serious. Of course, this matter shouldn't take lightly. People could die because of what happened. This is a very serious matter and I couldn't help but to feel guilty.

"Architect Alonzo," I was about to go out when Papa called me. I turned around to face him.

"Yes, Engineer?" I said formally.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I nodded and then shook my head later on. I don't wanna lie to him. "No," I said truthfully.

Papa gave me a small smile. "It'll be fine. Everything will be fine, okay? Don't worry too much."

"Thanks, Pa." I hugged him and he hugged me  back. "By the way, Engineer, can I visit the workers?"

Ngumiti si Papa at tumango. "Go. They're in Javier Medical Hospital."

Natigilan ako. "P-Po?"

"Why? Is something wrong?"

I shook my head. "Wala po. I'll get going, Engineer."

I was hesitating a little when I walked out of the conference room. Should I go? Should I not? Of course, I should! I am worried about our workers! I wanna know if they're fine but then... it was that hospital.

Sa dinami-dami ng hospital dito, bakit doon pa? Because it's the nearest? Ugh! I was walking back and forth inside my office, thinking deeply.

Eh bakit ba ako nagdadalawang isip? It's clear naman na ang purpose ko kung bakit ako pupunta roon ay dahil sa mga trabahador na nasugatan. What's stopping me? Is it the idea that it was their hospital? So what, Jeicah? Madaming pasyente roon! Hindi ka mapapansin at isa pa, hindi naman doktor ang ex mo kaya imposibleng naroon siya!
