"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Where we began," he answered and drove quietly.

I remained silent inside my car. I just... confessed my feelings for him, didn't I? I just kissed him, did not I? Grabe, nakakahiya! Bakit ko ba ginawa iyon?

After I kissed him, he did not say anything. He was just silent then he asked me if he can borrow my car so I said "sure". I thought he's going to leave me there alone but then he uttered, "why aren't you coming?" Kaya in the end, pumasok na rin ako sa front seat.

And now we are here inside my car with a very awkward deafening atmosphere. I just decided to turn on the stereo so I could play music.

"Is it okay?" I asked him again and then he chuckled and glanced at me.

"Stop asking me for permissions, okay? Just be yourself. Just be the Jeicah I knew."

I smiled and nodded.

"So... why did you kiss me?" He asked.

My eyes widened and my face heated up. "H-huh?"

"Come on, Jei. Don't tell I was just hallucinating when I literally felt your lips on mine." He said that made me blush.

"U-Uh," I stuttered. "I... I—"

"You told me you still love me, right?" He probed.

Oh goodness, can he please stop asking things that would make me embarrass myself even more?!

I just nodded before my mouth couldn't speak.

I saw the side of his lips rose. Stop smirking!

"My engineer, huh?" He mocked.

I scowled at him. "Can you stop?"

He then burst out laughing.

"Caius! It's not funny!" I warned but he's still damn laughing.

"Sorry, sorry," sabi niya nang makalma ang sarili sa pagtawa. Nakakainis siya. "Anyway, was all of those true? Did you mean it?"

"Tss," I rolled my eyes at him and looked at the window. "Do you think I would kiss you or even say all those stuff if I don't mean it, you idiot?" I whispered.

"Ha?" Sabi niya.

"Wala!" Sigaw ko.

"Ba't mo 'ko sinisigawan?"

"Eh nakakainis ka!"

"Ba't naman ako nakakainis?" Inosenteng sabi niya.

"Malay ko sa'yo. 'Wag mo nga akong kausapin! Focus on the road!"

"Bakit bawal kitang kausapin?"

"Ugh! Stop being annoying, please! Ano bang nangyari sayo the past years at halos kalahati ng pagiging annoying ni Jared ay nakuha mo?" Reklamo ko sakanya.

Tumawa siya. "What?"

"What?" I mocked. "Why am I even here?!"

"Aba, malay ko sayo." Pambabara niya. Ugh! Seriously, what happened to him?!

"Anong malay mo sa akin? For your information, you asked me to hop in and this is my car, mind you!" I shot back.

He raise a brow. "Sino kaya ang pumunta sa site tapos muntik nang mabagsakan ng mga bakal kaka-cellphone. Tapos hindi pa nakasuot ng hard hat and then iiyak bigla tapos magsosorry sa akin tapos magtatanong kung mahal ko pa ba siya at sasabihing mahal  niya pa ako after how many years tapos sobrang higpit kung makayakap tapos higit sa lahat, biglang manghahalik pagkatapos ay siya pa ang mukhang gulat na gulat sa ginawa niya. Sino kaya 'yon?"
