Ch 4

*About a week later*

I woke up a little later for school today;10am

So I got out of bed and just threw some shorts and a tee on, put my hair in a loose bun and slipped on my converse.

Then applied a light touch of make up on and grabbed my bag, along with my sweater.

I decided not to skate to school today, i figured, hey im already late, i might as well be hella late.

*10:50*

I was finally on campus, walking to 3rd period;biology.

As i reached the door, i pulled the knob and burst inside the classroom while everybody stared at me like I committed a crime.

"So nice of you to join us" Mr. Matthew fake smiles as i head towards my seat

I take my seat next to Conner who was also in my class and lay my bag on my desk.

"So nice of you to join us!" he mimics In a funny tone

I giggle, while Mr. Matthew begins his lessen.

"Ok. So today class, you will be partnering up with a classmate, to work on a project on about the cell membrane."

Everyone turns all different directions and glares at who they would choose for there partners, including Conner and I, who happened to glare at each other at the same time.

"You will be comparing either, a theme Park, a Restaurant, and pretty much anything that takes charge, to a cell membrane." He continues

"So what do you wanna work on?" I wiggle my eyebrows at Conner, who was currently smirking at me

"We're not going to do it are we?"

I shake my head no and he chuckles.

"What i meant to ask was...so what do you wanna do while everyone works??"

"Yup! That sounds more like you" he nods his head

Everyone gets up to sit with there partners and Conner and I stay in the same place where we were, which was right next to each other.

Mr. Matthew makes an annoyed face at us, and shakes his head.

"oh no, no.","i can't have my two trouble makers working together" he stated, pulling me away from Conner

"What the hell?" I say with a face of disgust,"who else am i supposed to work with!"

"Watch your language, and your going to be working with Shawn"

'of course i am. Why didn't i see this coming' I mumble under my breath while i look at Shawn who looked up in confusion

I groan and switch places with Shawn's partner, who was now working with Conner

"Hey"

"Sup Mendes"

He smiles and continues

"So what should our project be on?"

"Wait, we're actually going to do it?" I raise an eyebrow

"Of course we are","So you wanna meet at my house or should we meet at yours?"

This kids funny.

"Um neither" i say with a hint of sass

"Okayyy...","you have any other place in mind?"

"Dawn, if you haven't picked up what im saying yet, you must not be that bright"

"Um, first of all, its Shawn, hun","and second, i get it, its just that im really trying to make things easier for you.","so come on, my place or yours?" He sighs at the last part

So instead of arguing, i agreed and we began to write down the schedule of dates we were going to each others house

We decided;

Mondays and Wednesdays we meet at his house and the rest of the days we meet in mines.

Shawn and i exchanged phone numbers and headed our own way when the period ended.

Conner was waiting outside for me.

"Hey, so i guess your stuck with good boy" he chuckles

"Yup..." i say trying to avoid talking bad about Shawn.

For some reason i couldn't get what he said out of my mind

'Im really trying to make things easier for you'

What did he mean by that?

I sigh and shake my thoughts away, "guess i'll just have to wait and see"
