-Sabrina's Pov

I began to get ready because Shawn was coming over today.

I put on a simple Hollister tee and a pair of jeans, with my combat boots.

My hair was loosely curled and I had light make up on.

I grabbed my phone and was about to text Shawn to come over, when he appeared at my bedroom door

"Oh, hey" I smiled

"Sup"

"Ready to go?" I asked

"Yup, let's go" he headed out, with me following behind

We talked it over and decided to go to a small coffee shop, then a walk on the pier.

& I drove, considering I had gotten my license about a week ago.

When we got there, we ordered, then sat down at a small table with a window view

I looked over at Shawn who had seemed to be very distracted.

"So...how's your mom?" I asked awkwardly, trying to start a conversation

Usually it'd be very easy, but this time I felt an awkward feel between us.

"I don't know...ok, I guess." He said simply, as he rested his arm around the chair and slouched down on his seat

"Oh, ok..." I furrowed my eyebrows, and crossed my arms

There was an awkward pause between us and all we did was slurp our drinks.

"Listen, I have to pass on the pier, I have plans" he said, not looking me in the eyes

"Um, is everything ok?" I said with disappointment

"Yup","just have to take care of some things"

"Like what...?"

He groaned,"I have to...take care of my sister, alright??"

I took a couple seconds to answer. I looked him in the eyes, but he wouldn't look back.

Shawn? Please, just talk to me.

I cleared my throat, then answered. "Um, ok. I guess that's ok."

I said trying not to show my emotions.

"Cool, so, are we done here? Because I really have to go." he gestured, looking more careless than ever

"Ya, you can go..." I sighed, looking down at the ground

"Great!" He got up, patted me on the back and walked out. Leaving me with no words.

I looked down at the table I was sitting at and thought for a while.

What the hell is going on?, this isn't him.
