Why is this a short story? It felt longer for a short story in the middle but now that I have finished it it feels too short. Man, I want more. I want to know what happens after it ends.

Reading a new wattpad book was definitely not on my to-do list today. After reading a short story yesterday, wattpad reccomended another. 14 parts are way too short so I just started reading. Saying just one more chapter I finished the whole book within 3 hours.

Nora has a crazy weird family. She has to go to a 4th of July party with her family. Turn of events get her trying to find a quiet place to read a book when she bumps into Ryder. Her elementary school classmate, handsome, son of the hosts with a charming car. And then she's on a quest with him to find apple pies. It's an adventurous night which involves pies, Ry's bestfriend/Nora's ex-boyfriend, Benjamin Franklin, watermelon eating competition, flying bunnies, a sad goat etcetera.

It was a nice story with hilarious events, lovable characters and a cute (and quite unbelievable) childhood memory. I read half of it with hearts-in-eyes face and half while laughing crazily. I just love all the kids in this book. They're just so adorable. Nora's brother and sister and the seven year old Nora, Ryder and Jack. Ah, that trio is love.

After reading a few chapters, I thought that maybe it's not a short story. It's longer than it looks and not being able to put it down, I was happy for it. But then I realized it is actually a short story and will end in next three chapters. You can imagine the disappointment.

Let's just say, I enjoyed reading it very much. I've already broken my no-more-teenfics promise did to no one in particular, so I'm planning on reading more short stories. They're turning out to be way better than long lengthy books.

Hi everyone! I'm about to read another fairytale retelling book series this year. I read 'The Lunar Chronicles' by Marisa Mayer in Feb-March. Now I'm gonna read 'Geekerella' by Ashley Poston. I watched JesseTheReader gushing about 'The Princess and the Fangirl' in a video and got the whole series without a second thought. I'm excited to read them. Okay, I'll end my unnecessary rant here.

Thanks for reading :)

Edit: I just found out that Anna has written three other short stories. Geekerella can wait. I'm gonna binge them first. Already started reading Activated Complex. It's a very short story with just one part which is very long. I haven't read much of it but I can tell how amazing she is as a writer.
