I did it. I actually did finish a whole book within 24 hrs. Reading has really become a drug for me now. I know it's not a good thing to be wanting to live someone else's life all the time instead of mine, but I can't help it. 30 books was the goal for this year. I won't be surprised to know if I'd read double than that. I think I actually did read 60 books. *stares into distance with disbelief*

I started reading it last night. Internet was not working. So I did some jugaad with wifi just so I could read this book. I was planning on making it last for a week. Okay, three days least. I was reading before sleeping, after waking up, basically whole day. And it's over. I don't even want to talk about the disappointment I felt after knowing it has only 22 chapters and I was already on 15.

God, I'm losing my interest in this review thing. I don't feel like writing these anymore. I think, I was doing a good job in the beginning. I was surprised to read the earlier reviews. Couldn't believe I was the one who wrote them. In some way I've got better and worse at the same time. I'm thinking of finishing this book. I published it sometime around new year, it's better to end it with 2020. Maybe, I'll create new book for 2021, but this will end along with the year.

Oh, getting back to the book. I don't know how I'm stumbling upon the books containing actors or such celebrities as leads. It was on reading list for so long. Actually it being short is partly the reason it was there.

On a stormy evening (or night? I don't know) Alec Black comes injured and drunk in Emily's cafe. He's a Hollywood actor running from something and needs a place to hide. Emily needs his help finding someone. They make a deal to help each other getting what they want.

What are the odds of a common girl falling for a celebrity and vice versa? No matter how much they try, they may not be able to fit in each other's world. You can't call them selfish for choosing not to sacrifice their happiness and dreams for each other, can you?

I don't know what to make out of the ending. I sure do love happy endings, but I would've been fine if they didn't end up together. I like the small possibility of an actual happy ending the epilogue leaves us with though.

It's not a teen fiction. They're a bit older. It is usually uneasy to read characters who are not my age. I can't even read the younger ones. But this time it didn't feel any different. They were more mature and I liked that.

Remember me talking about Geekerella? Next book in that series has some similar plot. A celebrity coming to hide at the place of a common girl. I wanted to read this first, because I didn't want to compare this with that. I think it was a good decision. Now can compare that with this. (That - Bookish and the beast. This - Lights.)

I'm sure I liked it more than, I had expected. I will read this book again sometime. It is part of a series or something. I should as well check out other books. And I would totally love to read the other version if it's rewritten as the last note said.

Hi everyone! I know, it wasn't much of a review. As I said before, I'm losing interest. In everything in general. I feel like leaving everything and going to himalaya to do tapasya. Lol. I'm serious about ending this book though. Although writing these thing makes me feel like I'm freeing myself from the book, I don't feel like doing it anymore.

Well, take care.

Thanks for reading :)

P.s. I'll explain what that heart thing is soon. I'm working on editing the previous reviews.
