There was so much on my mind. I felt like I was drowning in a pool of my own lies.
Luke hid from the police that we were the last people to see that wretch, but if they ask him again, I'm sure he'll tell the truth.
I haven't slept all night, just thinking about what I'd do if Luke told the truth. And now I could see the sun lighting up the sky. I got out of bed, feeling drowsy and tired. I took a bath to wake myself up and went downstairs for breakfast.
Bryce was already there. The smell of bacon and pancakes greeted me before he did.
"Good morning, sis," he said cheerfully.
"Yeah, good morning," I replied, sarcasm clear in my tone. Bryce noticed it and frowned at me."Don't tell me you're still upset about the Vixen Kent thing," he said.
"No, I'm not, just leave me alone okay?" I said irritatedly.
"Alright," Bryce sighed. He finished his food and put his plate in the sink. "I'm going to get some stuff from the grocery store." he said. He picked his keys and went out. After I ate, I washed the dishes and went to the backyard to get some fresh air. I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen at school tomorrow. Everyone thinks I'm some sort of psycho criminal. I wasn't the only person who hated Vixen, but I was the only being so open about on Friday night.
Everyone thinks I'm a bad guy for pushing her into the 'goth girl phase' she entered shortly before her death. I knew they were right, but deep down I refused the truth.
The only person that can destroy Vixen Kent is herself. The breakup, the new look, and all this Phantom crap; I didn't do that. It was done by none other than Vixen herself.
So now that she's dead and probably never coming back, I might as well enjoy my life.

I decided to go to the forensic lab, even though it was a Sunday. I was determined to solve the case as soon as possible.
I've barely slept since the night I uncovered Vixen's body. I felt like my soul was ripped out of me. I knew I would never be at peace until the day I caught The Phantom. So here I was, at work, about to work my butt off till I find a face for the owner of the skin cells in Vixen's pocket.
We did some test yesterday, and today I should be able to get some results. I put on my lab coat and gloves and got straight to work. By mid-day I got the results.
I read it over and over. My mind simply couldn't process the results. I thought I made a mistake, so I started again. But I got the same answer.
I sat down at my desk with the printed result in front of me. If my test was right, then this case is far from over.

Today has just been crazy. We went to church today, and a mass was held for Vixen. All during the service people were offering their condolences. I was sick of it. "If I hear 'sorry for your loss' one more time, I'm gonna scream," I told Erin.
"Me too. I just want to leave this place," Erin sighed.Fortunately, my parents finished talking to the well wishers and we we got in our car and headed home. Erin took out her phone and started texting. I just stared out of the car window absentmindedly. I wasn't in the mood to chat with my friends. That was Monday's problem.
Erin gasped all of a sudden. I turned to her and gave her a questioning look.
"Is everything okay back there?" my mom asked worriedly. She's been so jumpy these days that she picks up the slightest noises.
