LYNN

I was lying on my hospital bed on Sunday night when my mom got the call.

We've been anxious ever since my dad called this morning and told us the Phantom wanted the ransom by sunset.

We thought it was better to just pay him off so he'd let Erin go, but the police wanted to kill two birds with one stone.

I just wanted my sister back home, safe and sound. I felt like this was all my fault for not standing my ground and opposing the dinner.

So when my mom picked up the phone and started crying, I thought it was bad news.
I felt like my heart was being trampled on. The ache was so bad that the machine monitoring my heart started to beep, and nurses came in to check on me.

My mom had to hang up when that happened. "You need to breathe, Miss Kent, breathe," the nurse instructed. She managed calm me down and my heart began to beat at the normal rate.

They left me and my mom alone.
"Mom, what happened to Erin?" I asked her desperately.

To my surprise, she smiled down on me through all those tears.

"Mom you're literately killing me with all the mixed up emotions! What happened?!"

"These are tears of joy, honey," she said with a laugh, "Erin was found alive!"

"I can't believe it!" I said with delight. My mom hugged me. Erin was probably the first person ever to escape a Phantom attack.

"Is she alright?" I asked. "He didn't hurt her?"
"Nope," my mother answered, "nothing serious. I didn't finish talking before that thing with your monitor started. I'll get the details later. Don't get so worked up again or else they won't discharge you!"

"You know what, now I know my sister is safe, I don't feel so bad anymore," I told my mom. "It almost feels like I never hit my head at all!"

My mom laughed and I laughed with her.
Erin is safe.

In that little happy moment we spent laughing, nothing else mattered to me.

OFFICER JACK

Since everyone was so exhausted from the mission in the woods last night, we decided to interrogate Dana on Monday morning.

We both got to the station early. I really wanted to hear what Dana had to say for herself.

An officer brought her to the interrogation room.

"Hi officers!" she said with a cynical smile on her face. She looked so different in the inmate uniform. She was going to be transferred to the woman's penitentiary today.

"I don't think you're here to give me bail, so what do you want?" she said when she sat down.

"We want you to tell us where The Phantom is," Hunt said. "Please tell us, Dana. We know you're not the hardened criminal everyone thinks you are."

"Then what am I?" she interjected. "What would you call someone who covers for a serial killer? Would you say that I'm a good person? I am a criminal, Hunt, I'm the worst kind you'll ever meet. You have no idea of all the things I did. Just to end up here. "

"What do you mean?" he asked her. "What have you done?"

"Well for starts, I helped him frame those idiot friends of hers. I forced my cousin to tell them about the hideout."

"Calla knew about all this?" I questioned.
Dana rolled her eyes.

"Duh! I mean, who did you think reported us? That girl is such a weakling. She couldn't keep just one tiny secret."
