TRENT

I was happy that Hunt noticed my hard work. It made me work harder. I went straight away to the evidence room to investigate the ruined tapes.

Everything seemed to be in order. The only problem is, those SD card worked perfectly fine when they were brought to the station, and now they can't be read.

I dusted the tall wooden shelf they were in for fingerprints. Nothing. I scanned the floor for hairs, blood, saliva, and every other thing I could use for identification, but whoever did this was careful not to leave a trace.

This was becoming more difficult than I thought. I really needed to find something.
After looking for a couple more minutes, I gave up and went back to my lab. The evidence room was clear.

But when I got to the lab I was was shocked by what I found.

All my paperwork was scattered on the floor. The furniture was disarranged, my drawer were emptied out. Shattered test tubes lied in the mess too, and the shards of glass covered the floor.
My intern was the next thing I saw. She was nursing her head in a corner.

"What happened here Dana?" I asked worriedly.
She shook her head. "A guy came in," she started, "and I told him he couldn't be in here, so he knocked me out I guess. When I woke up, this," she opened her arms theatrically, like someone presenting a new house, "was all here."

"Are you alright?" I asked her. "Yeah I'm good. I just don't know who would do this!" I looked around the room again. I saw something the made my blood boil.

"The Phantom."

"No way!" she exclaimed, "You think The Phantom came all the way here to destroy the proof?"
"I don't think, I know," I told her.
"How are you so sure?"
"Because he left us a message," I pointed to our white board. She gasped in fear after she read what it said.

Get Off My Trail, Trent.
Or I'll Get On Yours.

JENNA

"I'm doing this," I told myself. School was over and the halls were busy. Lynn thought it was the perfect time to tell everyone the truth. And since I didn't want to make a certain ghost angry, I didn't object.

I told my friends, and they thought I was crazy. They didn't support me. So I was on my own for this one.

"Hey!" Lynn yelled over all the noise in the hallway. Everyone quieted down. The Kents just have that power.
"Jenna here has something to say."

She pushed me forward. A large gathering had already formed in a circle around us. My palms were sweaty. I've never gotten stage fright, but the way I felt now was way worse than that.

"C'mon, Jen," Lynn urged, "We don't have all day."
I took a deep breath and gulped.
"I just want to say," I began slowly, "that Vixen Kent wasn't high that day she fought me in the lot."

There were gasps of surprise and dirty looks.

"She also didn't hit us for no reason. I made a really crude joke about her older sister, and she got mad. So she shouldn't have got suspended and Luke didn't need to break up with her because, she was telling the truth."

Even more gasps. Everyone was upset. The whole crowd booed me "Liar!" some people insulted. I felt like hiding in my locker and never coming out.
