LYNN

I have never been happier in my entire life. Everything was perfect again.

My family was complete. The Phantom would be behind bars for good. And finally we would have peace in our town.

The chefs were instructed to prepare a special meal for Kaitlynn and Vixen's return. They made all of their favorite dishes.

While we waited for dinner, all four of decided to go to Kaitlynn's old room. We went upstairs. Her room was at the end of the hallway.

When we got there, we just couldn't bring ourselves to go inside.
All of us stood in front of the room's white door for a while, staring at the dusty knob.

When Katy 'died', my parents had the room locked up. They didn't want us to go inside. That door has been off limits for almost five years.

"So they never went inside again?" Kaitlynn asked.
"Nope," I answered. "No one even walks up to this point."
Vixen ran her fingers on the door.
"I remember I tried to break the lock once," she recalled. "Mom caught me and grounded me for two months."

"It still feels like it's out of bounds," Erin whispered.
Kaitlynn held the key in her hand. "Not anymore, Erin," she said. She put the key in and twisted it. There was a pop, and she grabbed the dusty doorknob and opened the door.

The room was the same way I remembered it. Her bed was in the middle of the cobalt and black room.
A desk was on the left side of the bed, and on the other side she had a tiny lamp.
The bathroom was on the left, and inside she had a large white vanity.

All the furniture was covered in dust. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling. The room smelled like bleach. Even the air in the room felt old.

We just looked around in awe.

"Look what I found!" Kaitlynn gasped. We went over to where she was standing.
It was her old MP3 player.

She pressed the in button and to our surprise, the little thing came back to life.
Our eyes lit up with excitement.
Kaitlynn scrolled through the songs.

"Ooh, this was one of my favorite songs!" She selected a song and it started to play. It was a pop song. We danced and sang along.
We hadn't forgotten the words.

Kaitlynn never stopped playing that song the summer it was released. She sang it all day until everyone, even our parents and the house workers learnt every word.
When she 'died' the next summer, no one has played here ever again.

But now she was back, and the loud music echoed in the empty room and the whole house.
The words came back to us naturally.

And just like the words of the song, life returned to The Kent house.

TRENT

I spent the whole afternoon in the station. I didn't know what to do.
After Katy died, all I ever did was study. And after I finished college, all I ever did was work. And I had a lot of work to do, but I didn't feel like working tonight.

In one day, so much changed. Hunt was exposed as the Phantom.
Dana the intern I had been working with for six months turned out to be my (previously believed to be dead) girlfriend.
And now, Officer Jack was the Chief of Police, not just Hunt's tall and lanky assistant.

The station didn't feet like somewhere I wanted to be anymore.

I wanted to see Kaitlynn, but I knew that she probably wanted to spend time with her family. I could go home. After all, nobody was actually working. Everyone was more consumed with what happened at court than their jobs.
