Chapter 14

Sophie's POV

Tiergan started explaining what had happened in the 20 years she was gone. Calista-Breeze rubbed her wrists looking at them in disbelief.

"So...I'm really free?" Breeze asked in a melodic voice.

"Yes," Tiergan responded softly.

Breeze looked at everyone in the room and said, "Thank you"

Breeze rested her head on the cot and looked at the ceiling. Elwin and Livvy took their chance and got to work healing Breeze's burns, cuts, and scratches. When they were done Edaline brought Breeze a tray of food with 2 bottles of youth. Breeze ate it all and smiled as she sat up without wincing.

"I can heal Keefe," She said pointing towards Keefe's pale, twisted body.

"How?" Sophie asked.

"That's the problem. I don't remember, but I put all my discoveries and answers in my research facility," Breeze explained.

"Where is it?"

"I'll show you when we have a smaller audience,"

Grady, Edaline, Alden, Della, Caprice, Vika, Timkin, Marella, Maruca, and Stina pulled out their home crystals and left. Jolie followed soon after saying that she needed to follow Grady and Edaline then glittered away. Sophie wondered why Marella, Maruca, and Stina had left, but that was going to be solved later. Breeze got out of bed, grabbed the clothes Tiergan had given her, and walked toward the changing stall. Once Breeze had changed to the same clothes she had worn in Tiergan's picture she walked over to everyone. Sophie noticed Breeze was barefoot.

"I'll show you in the morning. This will be a long trip and we can't do it at night," Breeze eventually said, "Bring Sophie, Fitz, Biana, Dex, Linh, Tam, Wylie, Blur, Wraith, Squall, and Mr. Forkle."

Breeze looked at Tiergan. Her eyes clearly said you-are-coming-to.

No one argued. Everyone pulled out their home crystals and left. Sophie caught a glimpse of Tiergan holding hands with Breeze, Wylie, Linh, and Tam as they stepped into the light.

The next morning Sophie found herself, her friends, and the rest of the collective except Tiergan was out of Granite mode by Tiergan's house (Jolie also wanted to bond with her parents so she stayed behind).

"Did you keep the heart?" Breeze asked Tiergan in her melodic voice.

Tiergan nodded as he handed her the teal heart that he had shown Sophie. Breeze took it and whispered something to it. The teal heart opened revealing another one inside. Breeze raised it up to the light and the light refracted off of the teal heart and it shined into the ocean. A boat that looked like a catamaran rose out of the water after a few seconds in a water bubble. Everyone gasped as Breeze popped the water bubble letting the catamaran like boat float in the water.

"This is Leaper by the way. Now I need to get a reading on your sea sickness before we embark on this journey," Breeze said as she turned around to face the group she had gathered.

Breeze walked towards Sophie and placed 1 finger on each of her temples. Breeze stood there for one second before stepping back with a smile, "Your sea sickness levels are at 0. Impressive!"

"I'm sorry, what?" Sophie asked.

"There are different levels of sea sickness in everyone. It goes from 0 to 10 being 0 as none and 10 as extreme sea sickness," Breeze explained.
