Hi! So, I know I haven't updated in awhile. First and foremost, I'd like to apologize, I'm a spontaneous writer and so I don't have a set schedule for publishing any writing and I don't see myself having such schedule in the near future either. Two, I've recently started working and it really takes a lot on me, face-to-face human interaction is exhausting.

Lastly, the reason why I have this chapter up. I have an au called "Bury a Friend" which is John-centric as well as oc-centric, the premise of said au is this:

John grows up with a ghost latched to his side; he doesn't grow up normal.

warnings include gore, human and animal experimentation, murder, dead-dove-do-not-eat-type of stuff.

story sample:

The morning sun seeps through the cracks of his curtain, a sliver of light breaking through the darkness of the room where John remains tucked beneath his covers, fingers curled around the edges of his pillow case in a tight hold that the blood drains from his tiny fists. He opens his eyes. Abruptly. Sweat trickles down his temples, down the base of his jaw, between the junction of the neck and shoulders—it drenches his shirt, leaves an imprint of the pillow case. He breathes in quick sharp succession, tears gathering at the corners of his eyes before he vigorously rubs it all away. It lingers though. It lingers like an itch you can’t quite scratch, like a word at the tip of your tongue, like the smell of gasoline clinging to your clothes. It lingers.

Jack’s existence is a mystery to him. The man is a ghost, an imposingly tall ghost with tepmpered steel for eyes, the darkness of the night for hair, and teeth that seem too sharp to be human. John has grown fond of him or perhaps it was the other way around, he doesn't quite know.

You will learn. Humans always do.

I was wondering if I should publish it in this oneshot book or make a separate book for it.
