Chapter 5
I noticed Kendrick who's also playing with them. I wonder how he gets good grades when he's not even studying everytime I see him.
I tried myself to focus with my readings para may maisagot mamaya.
"Focus on your own." Everbody alerts with that voice.
After three tests, nagtungo muna kaming canteen for break, but still reviewing. The four of us were studying while Vina and Michelle are just talking about how frustrated they are to our exams.
"Guys, malapit na pala ang school fair." Michelle suddenly announced.
Her sudden change of topic lightens our moods. It's a good thing to talk about the upcoming school fair, it makes me excited even more. I just need to finish the tests and tadaaaa! Party party!
"Oo nga pala. I'm thinking of joining the cheerdance competition, who's with me?" Masayang balita ni Millie. She's active in terms of dancing and singing.
We agreed to join but Ashley seems not happy about it. She hates joining some event in schools lalo na kapag sayawan.
"Ashley, sige na. 'Wag kang oa!" And she's really acting as our older sister, magpaka bossy nga lang minsan.
"Don't wanna. I'm too lazy for that." Ash pouted.
I think we'll just talk about it after exams.
"Malapit na pala ang Dean's list."
Two weeks passed after the exams, nasa first sub na kami ngayon back to normal classes. My heart beats fast when Ashley talked about the list. Gosh, I'm hoping to be one of it.
"Sana kasali tayong anim." Saad ni Millie. Hindi lang naman kami sumagot dito.
"Wala na. Kayong lima lang ang kasama, ako hindi." Biglang singit ni Rainer sa tabi. Napalingon tuloy si Millie sa kanya.
" 'Wag kang mag isip nang ganyan, Rain. Positive lang." Saad ulit ni Millie.
Our talkings continued until first sub ends. I was about to look for Nathan but then something came up.
Totoo ba 'to? Sa akin ba siya lalapit? Should I expect or what? If feels like a slow motion when I saw Nathan running towards me with a smile on his face, the reason why I'm falling in love for him all over again. Those smiles never failed to make my heart beats faster than an ostrich.
