Snow falls and lands on my shoulders, I shake it off and shove my hands back in my jacket pockets. I don't know where exactly August has taken us but it's beautiful. Snow is everywhere and the trees are dead. It's freezing, but we really don't mind. We are here to celebrate Harry's 31st birthday and he wanted to go to the snow with us, and of course Matilda. I look out in the distance and see August and Matilda walking back towards us, snow falling all around them.

I don't know how many layers I put of Delilah, but she's sitting in the snow with a beanie, gloves and multiple jumpers. Harry is next to me too, shivering slightly even though he's rugged up like he's going to Antarctica. She'll be alright, we won't be here long enough for her to get sick or too cold, August was sure about making sure she was going to be OK.

"Happy birthday" I say to Harry for the 100th time today and he smiles at me.

"Bit boring just standing here, don't you think?" He kneels down in the snow and pushes the snow together in a snowball.

"Don't you even think of throwing that at me!" I laugh d step away from him, pulling my beanie over my ears from the harsh wind that's just picked up.

"Wasn't" He smirks and pushes more snow, causing the ball to grow bigger "Help me make a snow man, Ave"

I sigh and sit next to him, working on the middle ball and putting it on top of his. Matilda comes bounding over to us, kicking snow everywhere and stopping to sniff the half built snow man. Gus runs after her, picking up Delilah when he gets to us and fixing her gloves, which had fallen off. Surprised we didn't get scolded about how we should have been watching her, he's pretty protective of his daughter. It's one thing I love about him.

"A snowman?" He asks, smiling at us on the grow pushing snow together "What's next? Snow angels?"

"Yup!" I say, leaning back in the snow and moving my arms and legs to make a snow angel, Harry copies me and August laughs, placing Delilah back on the ground and helping her make one.

The snow dies down a bit now, and we shove sticks in the snow mans sides and little pebbles for eyes. No one is brave enough to take off any clothes to put on him, so August kicks it's head of. I'm cold, but I don't feel it. I'm really happy, and I can tell everyone else is by the way August and Harry commence in another snow fight, leaving me and Delilah to play with Matilda. Throwing snowballs in the air and she laughs when she tries to catch it in her mouth, I love her laugh, it's so pure and makes my heart happy.

August comes back over to us, covered in snow and his cheeks are rosy pink for the cold air and panting a little.

"Dad" Delilah says, it's the only word she says along with "Mum" and "Tilly" Harry's been relentlessly trying to get her to say his name, but she won't just yet.
