Delilah turned 2 yesterday and it still feels so unreal to me how fast time has flown since that day we welcomed her in the world. I watch her and Harry at the park near our house. It's a quiet Sunday afternoon so we took a walk while August was painting and we were all bored. There's a slight autumn breeze but it's nice to spend time like this with them since Harry is always busy now with new music or interviews. Matilda lays next to me on the grass and the leaves start to fall from the trees above us and land at my feet.

I hear giggles and Harry talking sweetly come from the park and I watch them shuffle towards the slide. Harry goes down the slide with Delilah on his lap and I can't help but laugh as Matilda runs off to them, demanding Harry's attention as always. Delilah stands up and trots off towards the stairs to the slide again, wanting to go back down.

"Avery! Come here" Harry yells out and I stand up and walk towards him.

"Isn't playing your job? I mean, you are child" I laugh and he rolls his eyes.

"Young in spirit" He jokes and we play on the children's equipment, ignoring the stares,  with her for a while together before heading back to eat the picnic we had bought. I don't care if people look at us weirdly, I'm making memories with my family. Yes, I may have got stuck going down the slide but that's irrelevant.

Harry lays down on his stomach on the crunchy leaves, resting his chin in his hands and I sit crossed legged across from him, watching Matilda and Delilah. They're best friends and I think they always will be. I love my little family, August, Harry, Lilah and Tilly all mean the world to me and each other. I look back and down at Harry and see him unzipping my boot. God, he's so childish.

"Are you fucking right?" I sigh and pull my foot away from him as he laughs.

"Did you bring the camera?" He asks and picks up a dried up leaf and holds it up, before placing it on top of the dogs head with a cute smile and I zip my boot back up, trying to ignore the nagging voice telling me to kick him with heel.

"Yeah, after lunch I want to take photos" I tell him and he nods his head and sits up, throwing a handful of leaves at me.

"Harry, watch it" I tell him and return the leaves to him.

"Or what?" He taunts.

"Or this" I stand up, grabbing a huge armful of leaves and dumping them on him and Delilah, who laughs and reaches out to grab one that landed in front of her. Harry looks at her lovingly and I can't stop my lips from forming a smile.

We eat our lunch as the sun starts to come out from behind the clouds. Harry picks up Delilah and places her in a pile of leaves. He places one on top of her head and she laughs while I take the photo. I take photos of Harry and Delilah. Of Harry and the dog and just of Matilda. Photos of Matilda are always my favorite. She brings everyone so much happiness with her energy.

I go down the slide with Delilah on my lap and Harry takes a photo, this time on his phone will probably send it to Lou and Gus in the group chat

I go down the slide with Delilah on my lap and Harry takes a photo, this time on his phone will probably send it to Lou and Gus in the group chat. I don't mind, I send Louis photos everyday and face time so he can talk to all of us at once. He gives parenting tips to August and him and Harry can laugh and talk about their memories for hours. We can too, but it's amazing to see what our relationship might look to other people by seeing H and Lou interact.

"Ave do a turn" Harry yells. We are standing in a grassy part of the park and the sun is starting to set. There's a pond near by with ducks that Delilah absolutely loved.

"What?" I laugh, the wind blowing my hair and dress everywhere. I laugh and try and hold it down.

"Turn around!" He says and holds the camera. I spin and Harry takes multiple pictures.

"Woah" He says quietly when he flicks through the photos he took.

"How bad do i look?" I laugh and he shows me the picture.

Holy shit. My hair is flying and my arms are out. My face is covered by my hair that looks super light in this lighting. The dried grass and trees in the background pull it all together.

"What do you reckon?" Harry squats down to Delilahs level and shows her the picture "Does Mum look really pretty?" She nods her head and goes back to patting Matilda, who lays on the grass

"For once" I laugh and Harry shakes his head

"Shut up, you're always beautiful" He says and takes a photo of Tilly and Lilah.

"I don't feel it sometimes" I tell him honestly and he thinks for a second.

"No, you always do" He shrugs, like I should fucking know that

"No" I say more seriously "I'm..just..not what I used to look like"

"what do you mean?" He pulls me down to sit in front of him on the grass and I do.

"It's just that..well I'm starting to age, you know? I don't have that youthful look like you do and a few grey hairs and it's just..I don't know, Harry. I miss how I used to look as a kid"

"Ave, you're beautiful" He says, almost sternly like he's telling a child off for being bad "everything about you is beautiful"

"I know but-"

"no fucking buts" He raises his eyebrows at me and picks a flower, turning it over in his hands as he thinks "every grey hair, every imperfection, everything about you is beautiful. Your heart is beautiful and your soul. There is no better word to describe you, don't put yourself down anymore, OK? I know you're beautiful, and so does August and Delilah. So does everyone on social media"

I laugh a little as his ranting and he continues "that smile? That's what got me through long tours and hard days, that's why August fell in love and married you. There's so much good and beauty that comes form you. embrace it"

I nod my head, feeling my cheeks tingle as they probably turn pink, looking down at the flower in his hands. The soft pink contrasts nicely against his yellow nails, god I've been listening to Gus too much.

He passes me the flower after he realized I was looking at it and I put it behind my hair, causing him to smile.

"you too"

"what do you mean?" Harry asks, picking his own flower and putting it behind his ear as well.

"everything you said about me being beautiful, back to you. You're stunning, honestly. You age like god and it's not fair"

"because i am a god" He smirks

"Shut up" I laugh and Delilah comes over, looking between us both and Harry picks her a flower and helps her put it behind her ear. We chuckle when she places a flower for Matilda, but it's quickly shaken off.

"Anyway, to wrap it all up, you're fucking beautiful and I hate it when you say you're not, so who wants ice cream?"
