(part 2 of the last chapter, this was my first attempt at writing something like this so bare with me! Also it was long I'm sorry but I wanted to really dig deep into their relationship and Harry just won a Grammy I've never been prouder of him omg- P)
"Ave!" Harry calls out from the lounge room "it's up!"
I run back into the room from the kitchen and grab my laptop from the laptop, type in the password faster than I think I ever have and search for it. I find it almost instantly, Harry opposite from me as we read simultaneously, not saying a word. I'm not nervous, I'm excited. This is going to blow up.
I was nervous, but as the the weeks ticked on and the date grew closer, I started to feel the butterflies in my stomach worsen. Delilah and Gus know we did it, but they have no clue what we wore or said so they are just as excited to see. Of course, the public didn't have a clue until 30 seconds ago when it was posted.
The article starts with a photo of me and Harry, in our beautiful clothes and Harry looking into the camera with a dimpled smile, the kind that looks genuinely happy and I'm staring at his face, my own smile with the castle interior behind us. This was the cover photo..the cover of the fucking magazine. Me and Harry, not just Harry. I don't think it's sunk in yet. Me.
The title above it reads 'Harry and Avery breakdown their long friendship and soulmates'
I gasp a little, seeing my name and face in something as big as this and keep reading. It talks about where the shoot was, the name of the castle and how we arrived hand in hand, which surprised Robbie because he was told we were best friends. Which, was apparently confirmed later with the banter as we headed to the room the interview would be set. I do remember that, I pointed to an old fat man on the wall and compared him to Harry. Which is far from accurate, but it got a chuckle from Robbie when H compared me to the lady sitting next to him.
'There was just something about their energy together' The article read 'minus the banter and bad jokes, that was a lot of care for each other. Harry clearly trying to diffuse some of the nerves in Avery, which appeared to be working when she opened up to me. I was told about their first meeting, which was Harry's famous X Factor auditions and he seemed quite fond of the memory, describing the first time he saw her 'I thought she was really pretty and when she talked to me she was really sweet and shy. I tried to help her with her number but I was more fascinated by the way she approached me..I was kinda a loner back then' Avery, who nickname seemed more common then her full name, smiled at him as he recalled it to me. I knew I was witnessing something special and unique'
I look up at Harry, who is scrolling on his phone with a ghost of a smile and I read about how noticed our rings together on the couch as our hands touched, how his large hands and chunky rings looked so peculiar next to my smaller hands and gold rings and diamonds.
'Harry, with his big rings and cross tattoo, comforted Avery with small rubs and hands squeezes, which I found very endearing and just straight up cute. Diamonds really are a girl's best friend in Avery's case and her 3 rings featured an figure 8 or infinity shaped ring. When asked, Harry went a bit shy and answered 'I got that for her, years ago..she wears it everyday and I wear an anklet that's barley hanging on. But, I have a few tattoos for her' He decided he didn't want to share what ink designs on his skin was in dedication to her, but did show me the tiny sun on his wrist that they had both gotten for the late-singer, Louis Tomlinson'
I look down at my wrist, the sun design isn't going to be my last tattoo, but out of the 3 I have, it's my favorite. The butterflies on my ribs are beautiful, but rarely seen from anyone not in my family and the evolve is meaningful. But the sun one is just simple, small and symbolic.
