" Josh! It's 12 am" I excited chuckled.

" You know you're like a child who gets excited about midnight...what have I told you about not staying up after your bed time" He laughed.

" Hey!" I said annoyed. " By that I meant it's midnight...you know what that means"

" What? like ghosts oh my god I'm scared" He sarcastically teased.

" I mean, it's the next day"

" Wow I'm so glad you realize that dummy" He teased.

" Happy birthday" I laughed.

" Oh right that too.." He chuckled. " Thank you, you remembered"

" Of course I did, you gave up your birthday just to come here with me"

" Hey, birthdays come every year but there's only one annoying Brooke" He smiled.

" You're so annoying....ly sweet" I chuckled. " Oh wait I almost forgot " I said removing a bag from the back seat.
" Here" I said handing him the bag.

" What?"

" Open it."

He stared at me as he took a peek inside and removed something.

" I kinda like it." He said he said wearing it on his hand.

" I knew would!" I smiled.

" Thanks!"

" There's more underneath" I said as he was about to put the bag away.

" O...kay I must be very lucky " he chuckled as he removed the shirt.

" Is this?"

" Yup!"

" Brooke! Wow this is amazing, we saw this is at the mall and--"

" You couldn't buy it... because you were saving up and Josh, this is least I could do. You are here for me no matter what I just wanted to kinda give back to you as a thank you for everything " I said as he smiled.

" Are you kidding? That's what friends are for, but I'm not gonna say no to these sneakers. " he chuckled looking at it. " Thank you"

" Anytime!" I said as we smiled each other." Um okay so now that, that's done, good night" I said pulling a blanket as we laughed.

I was trying to sleep when I peeked from one eye looking at Josh smiling at me as I slept.

" Hey! What're you doing?" I said asking him giving him a look.

" What? Just looking at you, when you are so peaceful you know before you wake up and become crazy" he laughed.

" Haha, you're so funny" I fake laughed giving him a look.

" You're in a good mood."

" Of course I'm, I am with you aren't I?" I laughed. " You know, you entertain me."

" Oh so, I'm the entertainment? Great to know!" He laughed giving me a look.
" Did Noah reply?"

" I don't know, I mean I really don't care.. I mean I do... just"

" It's okay... I get it. Night" he said smiling and looking at me.

" Look at the road!" I chuckled turning his face towards the road.

A few hours later

" Here we are!" Josh said pulling over.

" Where are we?" I said yawning.
