Two Worlds, One Heart (Rexsoka)

Krell

Rex held his breath as Fives and Echo where led out in front of the firing squad. Krell was right behind him both hands clasped around his back, “Ready” the firing squad prepared themselves, as Fives and Echo slightly winced not quite resigned to their fate. “Aim”, Fives stepped forward desperate to change his brother’s minds gave a speech about how good soldiers they were, as Echo closed his eyes not wanting to watch his brothers kill him. “Fire” Fives and Echo pushed together to avoid the shots. But nothing happened, Fives and Echo looked around them to see blaster shots all around them. They were still alive, Krell growled and turned to Rex “I told you to kill them!!” Rex shook his head “if this is how a hero is to be treated then I’d rather die here, “ Krell growled “what a good idea, “ Rex didn’t even have time to move as Krell activated his weapon and swung aiming for Rex.

               The lightsaber was less than a foot from his face, Rex could already see his life flashing in front of his eyes, training on kimono, the first battle he had ever been in, the blue shadow virus on Naboo, watching Ahsoka laying in the med bay. This was it; he would never hear her voice again or watch her fight let alone find out if her lips were as soft as they looked. Just as he had given up and accepted his fate a pair of green lightsabers appeared in front of him. His face full of shock he turned to see who had saved him, Ahsoka, her face was straight and downright dangerous as she glared at Krell “the only one who is dying today is you, TRAITOR!!!” she all but screamed using the force to push him back and off the ledge down to the clone troopers below.

               Unsurprising he landed without harming himself, much to Rexes annoyance. He did not have long to think about that because Ahsoka jumped off the ledge as well, landing directly in front of Krell. Rex looked at her form, and for a second felt slightly bad for the General, that was until Ahsoka spoke again “The council never sent you, you lured my master away to serve us up on a silver platter to count Dooku”. A second was all it took for every clone to draw and aim their weapon at Krell. Who now activated a second lightsaber “I knew I should have killed you when I had the chance” he muttered at Ahsoka, Rex could feel his blood boil at the threat to Ahsoka, jumping off the ledge himself and rolling to a stop at the bottom he pulled out his blaster and started firing at Krell.

               Krell did not miss a beat. He attacked anyone close to him, if it had not been for Ahsoka’s skill with the lightsaber Rex and many other clones, would be dead right now. They eventually managed to both knock him out and put him in a cell in the brig. Rex and Ahsoka had just finished informing Master Yoda of Krell’s actions and now were walking to the mess. “so how mad was Kix when he figured out that you had left?” asked Rex “he was not pleased, at all” replied Ahsoka laughing slightly Rex visibly relaxed at her laugh. Rex thought back to Kix’s words, Kix knew he had a thing for the little Jedi but was terrified to try, mainly because if she did not reciprocate and told the council the consequences would be rather lethal. Then again, this war was unpredictable, and he might not have another chance. “Commander Tano may I have a word with you?” asked Rex his voice slightly shaky.

               Ahsoka smiled slightly and nodded, following rex to his quarters. Each step she took she could remember Kix’s words to her, “you do realize he’s in love with you right?” Kix stated as he gave her a final checkup before she confronted Krell “wait. what!!” Ahsoka said looking at Kix surprised “Oh don’t look so surprised I know you have had a crush on him too” Kix said slightly annoyed “don’t worry my lips are sealed” he finished smiling. She was brought out of her thoughts as she entered his quarters, he was very nervous now with it coming off him in waves. Slightly smiling she went to sit on his bed that was protruding from the ground looking almost like a piece of stone. Rex on the other hand had to stop a groan from coming out of him at the sight of her on his bed.

               Rex pulled her to her feet and took a deep breath “I have a confession to make and I need you to be standing for it” Ahsoka suppressed a giggle at making him uncomfortable “ ok” “ I understand the Jedi have rules about attachment and-“ Ahsoka laughed and cut him off “I think of it more as a suggestion more than a rule” Rex couldn’t help the slight smile that appeared on his face “hush will you, I’m trying to tell you” “that you like me?” asked Ahsoka moving slightly closer looking into his eyes.  If Rex was not freaking out before he was now “How did you know, wait for Jedi mind trick right?” asked Rex Ahsoka giggled and shook her head smiling “Nope Kix told me”. Rex both wanted to kick Kix and thank him at the same time “I’m going to kill him” stated Rex Ahsoka giggled “why didn’t he tell you I like you too?”.

               Rex looked both shocked and surprised at the little Jedi “so then you won’t mind if I do this then” he whispered as he practically leaped forward to kiss her. It was like a breath of fresh air flowing throughout his whole body as he wrapped his arms around her waist, feeling seconds later her arms wrapping around his neck pulling him closer to her. She tasted like honey and was sending his sweet tooth into overdrive, with soft plump lips that made him forget everything and anything around him.
