Two Worlds, One Heart (Rexsoka)

Kenobi

Kenobi was sitting in an apartment on Coruscant waiting for Duchess Satine, his hands fiddling with a bag he had brought with him, nerves clearly showing.

He had been waiting for this all day, through briefings and training sessions with his men, he could feel their presence coming closer. Snapping his eyes open just as the door opened, he didn’t have time to get up as he was taken down by a four-foot boy about the age of nine or ten with brown hair like his. “DAD!” yelled the small boy causing Satine to laugh as her son took down the mighty General Kenobi, she closed the door before joining her husband and son on the floor.

“Korkie, stop terrorizing your father” she said as Obi wan played dead with Korkie on top of him. “But mum, I missed him” Obi wan smiled at his son before looking at his wife. They had been married for almost thirty years and no one had suspected that they where together, let alone that they had children.

“you want to see what I have in the bag for you?” asked Obi wan to his son, Korkie smiled and nodded as obi wan handed him the bag. Upon opening the bag a small practice sphere floated out, Korkie looked to his dad then his mum “I’m going to get my crystal?” Satine and Obi wan nodded before being tackled by their son in a tight hug. Obi wan smiled happily  as he looked sideways at his wife, once a long time ago she would have been appalled with the idea of her children playing with weapons, but when her daughter first showed signs of having the force she put all of that aside and asked obi wan to teach their child.

“how is our lovely daughter doing at the academy?” asked Obi wan as Korkie ran off to his room to go play with the new sphere.

Satine smiled before Obi wan moved to hold her in his arms, “I have missed this” he whispered as he rested his head on top of hers, thankful she had not come in her full duchess outfit. Satine smiled as she rested against his chest “she is doing well in her classes, so well she is going to be graduating early next year”.

“just like her mother” whispered Obi wan as he rubbed her arm gently before he stopped looking down at his wife with a slight soul on his face “no boys right?”. Satine laughed and shook her head “no boys, I think she enjoys messing with them though” “what do you mean?” he asked slightly confused.

“every time any boy shows any interest in her she either waits till there is an opportunity then she moves things around their barracks making it look like ghosts” she explained, Obi wan laughed happily as he kissed her forehead “that’s my trouble maker”. Satine raised an eyebrow at him “yes it is and if she becomes Duchess you’re the one to blame when the court starts floating around”.

Obi wan laughed nervously “she wouldn’t do that” Satine hmmmd and shook her head at him before getting up and walking over to the kitchen, Obi wan smiled as he watched her before getting up himself and looking out the window. He could see the Jedi temple in its grand majesty with roaming vehicles’ zooming past down below and above him, “dad what are you looking at?'' asked Korkie finally coming out from his room and walking next to his father.

Obi wan smiled and placed a hand on his son's shoulder “i'm just thinking about my old master, you would have liked him, love tea just as much as your mother” he replied “I HEARD THAT” yelled Satine from the kitchen. Korkie looked up at his father worried “is mum going to try cooking again?” Obi wan smiled at his son “don’t worry I have a back up plan”.

Korkie looked at the temple through the window “dad, will I ever get to visit there?” Obi wan knelt down so he was eye level with his son. “you are the son of a duchess and a master Jedi, they practically have a room ready for both you and your sister” Korkie’s face fell “does she have to come?” “a jedi accepts all life forms………….even your sister” replied Obi wan chuckling slightly as his son sighed “fine, can I bring my sphere to dinner?” his mood changing in an instant.
