Two Worlds, One Heart (Rexsoka)

New Jedi

Rex awoke his body burning with pain.

               “whoa easy Vod” said a slightly startled Kix as he pushed down the exhausted clone. Rex looked wildly around for any sign of Ahsoka or of Master Yoda.

               “where is she!” yelled rex his voice breaking as he yelled. Kix on the other hand was trying to calm down the pissed off and terrified clone. “calm down she is fine, she has fully recovered. Which is weird because the moment she did you took a turn for the worst” replied Kix as he finally got rex to calm down.

               Rex on the other hand was fighting tooth and nail against Kix. “REX!!!” Ahsoka yelled practically running as best she could with her leg in a cast before plowing into Rex. Rex in turn pushed off Kix who was more than a little annoyed at the couple before wrapping his arms around her. Rex finally got to look around the room noticing for the first time that they were still in his room on the ship, but now there was another person in the room.

               Master Yoda sat in a meditative position at Rex’s desk.

               Rex was just about to ask the jedi master what had happened when he was slapped on his shoulder by a very pissed off fiancé. Rex was slightly shocked and was about to ask if she was ok when she hit him again, for the first time he noticed she was crying.

               “what's wrong?’’ he asked confused. She just responded with smacking him more before she started to slap his shoulder more “you jerk” her voice was sad but happy as he did his best to grab her arms but when he tried he found them restrained with many bandages.

               Kix thankfully stepped in to help “hey if your going to accost my patients then i'll have to ask you to hit him harder” Rex’s head snapped to Kix’s. His face full of confusion as Kix’s was full of annoyance “don’t give me that, you’re the one who went and pissed her off. Do you have any idea how terrified you had all of us with that stunt?” Kix replied crossing his arms.   

               Master Yoda had finally gotten up and jumped down from the desk. “Grand Master Yoda?” asked Rex, his mind trying to figure out if he had dreamed the events before or if it was real. “speak later we will. Rest now, gain back strength yes? Hmmm” Yoda started stopping just before the door and addressed the room.

               Rex nodded to the jedi and watched him leave the room. He turned to his upset fiancé who was still upset with him, he could see the marks where the tears had traveled down her face. Taking his good arm he pulled her close and kissed her forehead before she curled up on top of him. Taking great care to avoid his wounds.

               Kix smiled at the couple who were soon fast asleep before packing up his gear, making a mental note to check up on them later that night. He quietly laid a blanket over the both of them, doing his best not to make a sound as he exited the room. He gently closed the door and turned around to walk away when he almost ran into master Windu and commander Fox.

               Kix froze before saluting the two. Windu on the other hand ignored Kix and tried to push him aside to enter the room in which Rex and Ahsoka were now fast asleep. Kix on the other hand stepped in front of the rude and in his opinion jerk of a Jedi, “sorry general but Captain Rex is not awake yet” master windu sneered at the clone before speaking.

               “I am here to find Master Yoda and to take Rex into custody” Kix had to breathe deeply in order to stop himself from hitting the jedi. He had just opened his mouth when he was cut off by master yoda “found me, you have. Under arrest, the clone is not '' though his voice was calm it did not lose the edge that was well honed from years of dealing with Jedi and Sith alike.

               Master Windu faltered for a moment before regaining his arrogant air and addressing the Master “Grand Master Yoda, wouldn’t it be safer to eliminate the clone jedi before he has the chance to destroy the natural order?” “shown the force, the clone has. Begin training, he shall” replied Yoda before glaring at Master Windu “interrupt him or his training, you will not.”

               Master Windu huffed before turning away and stamping down the corridor with commander Fox in tow. Kix turned to the master jedi who motioned for him to bend down “leave him alone, you will not. In great danger, those two are” the Master Jedi stated making Kix’s blood run cold.
