Chopper did his best to shield her body with his own from the falling debris as the roof began to fall in on the training area, he could feel her warm body writhing in pain slightly as he moved her into a bridal carry. "shhhh its ok your going to be ok" he whispered to her as he avoided the falling debris, her hands gripped the edges of his chest plate as her breath gasped at the sudden jostling of him running. He looked around in the chaos and saw his younger and older brothers all running for ships to escape the collapsing building.
"the.....boys" she whispered her voice cracking halfway through making Chopper look down at her his eyes wide with fear, "hey its ok we are going to get to the ship its going to be ok" he spoke to her his voice betraying his fear. Riyo curled up against his chest and Chopper looked around them at the complex that was breaking to pieces slowly, he saw his brothers running for ships with younger clones. Just as he tried to enter one of the ships the landing platform buckled, and he was thrown sideways along with most of his brothers towards the black ocean waters of Kamino.
His mind had given up the moment this happened, the stories of the man-eating monsters that would eat the remains of the defective clones where well know. He closed his eyes and gripped Riyo closer to himself wishing he had the chance to save her before he died, her skin while soft was now getting a little colder as the wind and rain whipped around them. He hid his face in the crook of her neck awaiting the darkness that was sure to swallow them both any second.
But it never came, instead he felt hands trying to pull him and Riyo away from each other "no" he muttered pulling her closer. "Vod we need to check you both for wounds" said an unknown clone behind him, Chopper finally opened his eyes and took in his surroundings.
They had been pulled into a cargo bay of a ship, "where are we?" asked Chopper confused. "General Fisto was landing when he saw the complex falling into the ocean" replied a younger clone that looked Physically about ten or eleven that was trying to help the older medical clone. "trooper we need to look at her wounds so let her co so we can help, that's an order" the medical clone practically yelled as he wretched Choppers arms off of Riyo's body.
Chopper was pulled away by another clone medic who began to try and give him some medical attention, but chopper would not hear any of it. "LET ME GO IM FINE!!!! GET OFF ME!!!!!" Chopper began to fight the clone who called over another two who tried to pin him to the ground. He looked to his side trying to catch sight of Riyo, he could see her blue skin as they opened her shirt where the puncture was, he watched as they worked his eyes never leaving her form.
"where is that sedative" growled the medical clone as he did his best to keep Chopper down, but Chopper had managed to crawl halfway to her before they managed to stick him with the sedative. He groaned as he felt the drugs taking effect as he finally realized something as his vision slowly faded.
He was in love with her.
