Two Worlds, One Heart (Rexsoka)

Second Trial

Rex was pushed back by Plo Koon, Rex rolled and stood back up ready for the fight to come. His brothers where now cheering him on as they watched Rex get back up.

Skywalker was the first to lunge towards Rex, Rex recalled the training session and perfectly dodged the jedi knight, Skywalker yelped as he stumbled and rolled out of the ring kicking himself slightly. 

Rex grinned happily as he faced off against Plo Koon. 

“Do not get too confident Rex” Master Koon said as he squared off with Rex. Shaak Ti stood next to Plo Join her fangs barred, Rex gulped at the sight of his terrifying soon to be mother in law. 

"Rarely will your attackers attack in a single file, you must learn to use their numbers against them, make them fight for you" he could hear his old instructors voice in his head as if he was a cadet again sparring not going head to head with two Scary jedi. 

Rex crouched low ready for them to make the first move. Shaak Ti moved first the Plo koon, both moving in perfect sync, She to the left and he moved to the right, Rex stood his ground and waited. "Un du haste on the battle field and you will be dead" the instructors voice came flooding back into his head. 

Rex waited til her blade was close enough to him before he ducked and moved to his left avoiding Plo koon's blade as well.  Rex saw his opening and took it, he ripped off Plo koon's mask and hit him in the stomach for good measure. 

Plo Koon coughed and spluttered as he fell to the ground grasping for his mask with his free hand. Rex still held the mask in his hand looked to Shaak Ti as he threw the mask out of the boarder. "Very clever Captain" praised Shaak Ti her eyes starring through him chilling him to the bone. She smiled at him her fangs terrifying him slightly, her fangs where not small and cute like Ahsoka's, the where long and deadly implements used for fighting. 

They contrasted against her skin and made her apperance more animal than human. Rex mad a mental note never to cross his future mother in law. Ever. 

She deactivated her light saber flashing him a fanged smile, then she lunged, he could have sworn her aim was for his throat. But he ducked her grip and swept her leg causing her to trip while he backed away. He stood so his back was to the edge waiting for her to leap at him again. 

She smiled "nice try captain" she stood in the center now and withdrew her fangs. Rex kicked himself remembering what she had said on the ship on Onderon. To be wary of the females, and he had just given away his greatest strength. 

Defensive combat. 

They stood there for an hour, Rex waited for her to do something but all she did was wait till he moved. He did not want to kill her but he knew that he had to at least stun her long enough to get her over the boundary. So he charged at her, if she was anything like Ahsoka she would do what he expected. 

And she did.

She threw up her hand and tried to push him back with the force, Rex jumped just in time out of the way and using the force pushed her out of the ring. 

The only ones clapping where the jedi, the clones where all too shocked except for Kix, Each and Fives who where cheering. 

The rest of the 501st who had come out to watch where still stunned when Rex helped Shaak Ti to her feet. 

"Congratulations Captain you have completed your second trial, only a soldier with cunning of a Jedi could have won that challenge" said Shaak Ti before joining Plo Koon who fiddled with his mas slightly annoyed but laughing all the same. 

"Get changed your brothers will help with your third and final task" said Skywalker as he headed back into the building. 

Rex took a deep breath feeling joy fill his heart as he looked back at the building noticing for the first time a very familiar looking Togruta female was waiving at him. rex smiled and bolted into the house, that was until Kix and Echo held him back. 

"Sorry Vod, can't see hurt till you at least shower and get changed" said Kix as Rex looked up the stairs that led to where Ahsoka was. 

"So long as I don't look stupid" replied Red as he was dragging away.
