Two Worlds, One Heart (Rexsoka)

As Rex flew he could see the battles that raged over the surface of the planet, General Koon had received orders to attack the capital, Skywalker had orders to attack a military base so both had to be dropped off at the meeting point.

“sorry Rex, Shaak Ti and the rest of you are going to have to go get her yourself. The council has requested that we try to take the planet by the end of the week, if that wasn’t imposible enough they have reason to believe that the senator has information detrimental to the war effort” master Skywalker sounded beyond pissed at the fact he could not help.

“we will cover for you until you can get her back” filled in General Plo as both his and Skywalker's holomessages came in.

“the council still believes you are on a retreat Shaak so you are still in the clear '' Plo stated to her form in the ship. She smiled at her best friend's form “that might be for the best, seeing as the two of you might kill the kidnapper before I could sink my teeth into him” her reply was calm and sweet but it terrified everyone in the conversation.

Rex just stared out of the ships window to the compound not even half a click from them, their landing spot may have been hidden by the dense jungle but that didn’t mean he wasn’t willing to burn it down in order to get to that building.

“Rex Tano you must be calm” Shaak ti stated as she laid a hand on his shoulder. Rex on the other hand looked at her confused “Tano?” She smiled before patting his shoulder “I consider Ahsoka to be like my daughter, as does Plo and Skywalker. And if you are bonded to her I consider you to be my son in law” just as she finished Rex felt claws digging into his shoulder causing him great pain “so you hurt her, it is not the men you need to be worried about, do I make myself clear?”.

Rex nodded terrified of her calm but threatening manner, she threw a brown cloak at Rex and the rest of the clones before putting on her own cloak. “um why are we dressing up as jedi?” asked Kix as he held up the cloak.

“Not exactly, we are just going to make them think we are,” she replied, fishing out four lightsabers of her bag. “this is also a listening post and was once a Jedi retreat, so technically I really am at a retreat” Rex just stared at her recognizing a trait that Ahsoka had, he then froze realizing something.

“You are Ahsoka's real mother aren't you” he said out loud. Shaak Ti froze, her body betraying her, everyone's jaws dropped.

“Who is her real dad? Can’t be Plo Koon” asked Rex, Shaak Ti looked at him with a small smile on her face.

“You are quite sharp, I approve of that quality, to answer your question yes she is my daughter, and for her father……….” She looked down at the floor, her calm breaking into sadness before she closed her eyes and raised her head “her father was master Qui-Gon Jinn”.

“General Kenobi’s Master?” asked Echo the only one to speak as they had all gone silent.

She nodded before slipping on the robes, “do not tell anyone of who her parents are, the only other one who knows is Plo Koon and that is because he could see both Qui-Gon and myself in her” she addressed the room but look directly at Rex who was still processing the new information.

“so exactly how many Jedi besides General Skywalker have broken the code?” asked Fives who was now looking at the cloak figuring out how to put it on. His face was straight but his voice gave away his surprise and astonishment.

Shaak Ti smiled and motioned for the clones to stand up as she helped them into the robes. “As far as I know Kenobi has a child and so does Tur-Mukan” Kix stopped putting on the robes and looked up for a second.

“recognize the name?” Shaak Ti asked smiling before finishing “I think she would prefer you did not tell the father by the way”

When shaak ti turned to Rex she was surprised to see him in the robes and by the door ready to go. He shrugged when she raised a marking replying “my Fiance is a Jedi”. Shaak Ti laughed before correcting him “Your mate is a Jedi”.

Kix was just finishing putting on his robes when he looked at Rex ''wait if Ahsoka is a half human does that mean she still has kids?”. Rex glared at him blushing slightly “why do you care if she can have kid Vod?” his voice was dangerous as he addressed him.

Kix rolled his eyes before answering “Calm down, I am her Medic and if you two do end up having kids id probably have to deliver them”. Shaak Ti shook her head “no males are permitted in the room during the birthing of their children, that is in both Togruta and Jedi custom”.

Kix looked confused “wait a second, arnt togrutas hard to um have kids with, doesn’t that mean when she and Rex uh…….mate…….it will be just as hard?” Rex’s face was flaming red now as he hid his face in his hands.

“my mate is in mortal Peral and you are discussing my sex life…….” He muttered more to himself than to anyone else.

Kix’s face was red as he looked down slightly embared “sorry vod”. Shaak Ti smiled at Kix before answering “I will answer any questions you have about that particular issue later Kix”.

Kix nodded as the rest of the clones grabbed blasters and headed out of the ship with Shaak Ti. Rex took point as they entered the dense jungle, just as he entered he felt a small sting in his left side. Looking down he saw there was nothing there to impede his path, he had a sickening feeling in his stomach as he felt two more stings along his back.

“we need to move faster” he half yelled half whispered to the group, Shaak Ti nodded and walked forwards saying “Follow me”. She led them deeper into the forest as Rex felt more stings to his body, one inparticular he felt across his chest, stunning him from the pain.

Shaak Ti could hear his breathing changing as she quickened her pace, leading them to a stone wall and stopping.

Rex looked up the wall and began to climb it before he was pulled back by the Togruta who shook her head and held out her hand facing the wall, focusing the force.

Not even a second letter a door slid open giving way to a dark path leading them inside, Shaak Ti smiled and walked into the secret tunnel with Rex and the others close behind.
