It had been a couple of weeks since they officially invaded the planet,it had proven to be much more difficult than originally thought. Ahsoka had improved enough to join her troops out on the battlefield but she was now heavily protected by all the clones both from the wolfpack and the 501st.

Even though she was heavily protected Rex still found ways to comfort her when they were out in front of others either through shared glances or using their new bond to check in on her.

Shaak ti had given him a couple of meditation lessons before she left for kamino, helping him to not only establish a stronger hold on understanding the force but also how to use it to help his brothers and his fiance or as Shaak ti kept correcting him 'mate'.

Right now they were on one of the bases near the front, Ahsoka had taken to sleep only in Rex's room which had started some rumors drifting with the rest of the 501st.

Rex didn't care anymore, he felt better knowing that she was closer to him when they were off duty.

Anakin did his part by moving the two of them to a double bed room claiming that it was because of Ahsoka's most recent kidnapping that she should not be left alone which only proved to make both legions become extremely protective over the young jedi.

They were currently in the training room at the dead of night, Due to Rex's new abilities Both masters Anakin and Yoda agreed it would be safer if they trained in the dead of night.

Rex ducked as he avoided the swing of the general's blade, he held up Ahsoka's blade in a defensive stance trying his best to mimic the stance he had been shown not hours before.

Anakin on the other hand had no problem lunging at him again, Rex shouted in pain as the saber hit his upper shoulder lightly burning him.

"come on Rex you have to move faster than that" came Anakin's snarky retort.

Rex mentally cursed at him as out of the corner of his eye he saw Ahsoka curled up in a small ball fast asleep, while he was thinking about her he had neglected the fight and as a result was not ready for the attack from his general who burned his arm.

Rex shouted in surprise, waking not only Ahsoka but Kix and Echo as well.

"Pay attention captain" came Anakin's remark, Rex lunged for the general just as he sidestepped and gave him a small burn on his back, "MASTER!!" "GENERAL!!''

Both Kix and Ahsoka yelled at the same time as Rex dropped to his knees. Ahsoka ran forward to help along with Kix glaring at her master.

"you didn't have to go so hard on him" she practically yelled at her master as Rex was pulled up by kix who counted just how many burns the general had given Rex.

"what he wanted me to train him" replied Anakin as he deactivated his saber "you were using him like a pinata not a student" retorted Ahsoka as Rex got up and pulled her back into his arms, stopping her from exploding at her master. Anakin rolled his eyes "oh relax, it's not life threatening", Rex kissed the top of her head before Kix shook his head at the general.

"don't worry when Padme finds out she will tan his hide" Rex grinned evilly at Anakin who went pale "oh please don't the last time we got into a fight I spent the night on the beach" Kix laughed and rex shook his head "don't worry I wont, I think i'm going to head back to our room to sleep".

Kix shook his head before grabbing his arm. "No you are coming to the med bay for treatment" Rex groaned annoyed as Kix dragged him away, Ahsoka stayed with her arms crossed at her master.
