14- Our Panny

Sayuri's lips twitched as she watched Bankei skip in excitement beside Trunks. They were going to Capsule Corp, so Trunks could drop off some things to Bulma. Pan was currently running some errands, but they were going to meet up with her soon for lunch.

As soon as they walked into CC, Sayuri noticed how most female employees turned their heads to look at Trunks. He paid them no attention as he answered all the questions Bankei was asking. Sayuri wanted to snort. Those women didn't stand a chance.

"Mr. Brief!" A female jumped out in front of them suddenly. Her name tag read Sana Nu. Her dark hair was in a neat ponytail, and in Sayuri's opinion, she had way too much makeup on. "I didn't know you were coming into the office today!" Sana said as she grinned.

"Yeah, I just have to drop off a few things for my mom," Trunks said. He took a step around her and continued walking.

Sana fell into step beside them, much to Sayuri's annoyance. "And who're the cuties with you?"

"I'm not cute!" Bankei barked at Sana, and Sayuri fought back a laugh. He only allowed Pan and their Mama to call him cute.

"They're my cousins," Trunks answered without looking Sana's way.

"Well, can I get you guys anything?" She asked, her voice, sugary sweet.

Sayuri almost gagged. She was half tempted to request something ridiculous but decided against it. She didn't want Sana handling anything that would be going into her mouth.

"No, thanks," Sayuri said. "We're meeting Pan soon."

"Yeah!" Bankei smiled brightly. "For lunch!"

Sayuri grinned as she watched Sana's eye give a small tick. Sana's smile widened forcefully. "Okay, let me know if you change your mind."

"We won't," Sayuri said sweetly before she followed Trunks.

"Hey," Bankei said. "Can we go see the pond? Please, Trunks?"

"I'll take you," Sayuri said. "Is that okay?" She asked Trunks.

"Yeah," he smiled. "I'll meet you guys down there after I drop this stuff off."

"Alright!" Bankei chirped. He let go of Trunks' hand and grabbed Sayuri's. "Let's go see the fishes!"

Sayuri smiled and led the way down to one of Capsule Corps common areas. In the middle of it was a large clear pond. A bridge made from glass was over the pond, so people could walk across it and admire the colorful stones and koi fish. The pond was something that was in the future as well. Sayuri and Bankei had always loved watching the fish swim.

They made it to the bridge, and Bankei let go of Sayuri's hand, and he ran over and leaned over the rails and smiled at the koi fish. Sayuri leaned over the railing beside him and smiled. Her mind drifted to a peaceful time where she had watched the fish with her Mama and Daddy. That time seemed like it was so far away.

"Hey, you two!" Someone leaned beside Sayuri.

She looked over, and her eyes widened as she spotted Sana. Had she seriously followed them down there? Didn't she have work to do?

"Looking at the fish, huh?" She asked.

"Yeah," Sayuri said. She leaned off the rails and grabbed Bankei's hand. She walked them off the bridge and to the side of the pond. Much to her annoyance, Sana followed.

"So, you two are Mr. Brief's cousins, huh? That must be exciting!"

Sayuri knew that a lot of people saw Trunks as special because of who he was. He was special to her as well but in a different kind of way.
